Getting off the bus, I quickly made my way to the University after checking the time on my phone. It was already Tuesday, and my Spring Semester break had ended, which meant I was being thrown back into Uni at 10 AM today. I had left the house without Ash, as she had said she was going to be a little late.
I rushed my way into the dorms to get ready to unpack, although I didn't bring much. Since Spring break was only a few weeks long I had only moved some things from my dorm and into my apartment. The dorms were typically split up into different departments, and obviously Ashley and I were roommates, our dorm was in the Performing Arts department.
The PA department was next to the Foreign Languages department, and was opposite of the Creative Arts department. This side of the campus was known as Block A. The two other blocks of departments were spread across the campus.
It's pretty easy to get lost around here, which is why on our first day, Ashley and I made sure to always stick together and held hands for the whole week until we started moving around the campus independently, which caused us to get lost a few times...
Then there was a knock at the door whilst I was unpacking my small suitcase.
"Ms Grimshaw." I nodded, stopping my actions to greet the professor. She smiled and proceeded to talk.
"You seem to be in a good mood, I presume your break was much needed." I nodded as another tiny smile formed on her lips. "So I'm hoping you've got all the rest you need to bring on an exceptional performance for your drama piece?"
"Yes Ms Grimshaw."
"Great." She moved away from the door and walked across the corridor, the sound of her clicking high heels fading slowly after every step. Then another figure popped up and leaned across the doorframe.
"Chris!" I smiled, walking over to him and embracing him as he patted my back. "Shouldn't you be in Block C?" I asked with an arched brow. He nodded.
"Just came to see you first." he winked before pulling me into a quick kiss, shortly interrupted by him being lightly shoved out the way.
"Out of my way, lovebirds." Ashley said and I let a light chuckle leave my mouth as I waved at Chris, before he disappeared from the doorframe. She took in her suitcase and quickly unpacked.
By unpacked I mean she unzipped her suitcase and threw it across the room, letting everything inside fall across the floor. Then she flopped onto the bed and groaned loudly in annoyance.
"Fuck uni." she muttered, and I smiled and also flopped into bed next to her as she wrapped her arms around me and continued muttering about how much she hates university.

After the short assembly of all our professors greeting us back after our break and telling us their high expectations of us, we already had a free period. There was a secret party going on in the Science department in Block B. I decided to avoid it, as I knew someone must have smuggled in a bunch of alcohol on the first day back after our break. It was a usual occurrence, and Ashley had dragged me to one of the past university parties. Let's just say, it didn't end well. Though Ash enjoyed it, and I knew for sure she'd be attending this party.
Instead I made the decision to continue wandering the university, as I was told there were new students in our block. Art had always inspired me, both creative and performing, so I decided to see if there were any new submissions from the new students displayed in the Creative Arts department.
