Just like our time together at the restaurant, Raven left her car at her apartment and got us an Uber back to campus. Which made me wonder why she even had two accomodations anyways, and how she was able to afford both of them. London was far from cheap. Despite my new ability to communicate anything on my mind (specifically only with Raven, due to her bluntness), I was unable to ask her anything more on our way back, overcome with tiredness.
As soon as I got back to my dorm room, I flopped onto the bed. I pulled the duvet over me and slid my dress off in the bed, with some difficulty but it was worth being able to relax my tired muscles back into the comfort of my mattress. I fell quickly into my deserved slumber, glitter still etched on my face. That was a worry for the next day.
After daylight had approached and sank into my room, I woke up to the sound of my duvet covers rustling.
"Oi." came the irritating voice of my best friend.
"What?" I grumbled, sleep still apparent in my low voice.
"You're blue." she pointed at my half closed eyes.
"Huh?" my face contorted as my eyes had to adjust to the bright gleam of the sunlight. The curtains were fully drawn at this point.
"You're blue and glittery! You went out last night." Ashley gave a straightforward response, a smirk playing on her face.
"Oh, yeah." I sat up in my bed, pulling the covers with me. "I was too tired to take my makeup off and-"
"Where'd you go? With whom?" she interrupted me with an annoyingly playful look. I knew she wouldn't react that way if Chris was on her mind.
"Thanks for interrupting me." I scowled, "with Raven if you must know."
"Raven!" she gasped, "Into ungodly hours of the night. Too tired to take your makeup off. You must have ran off somewhere, a car journey perhaps." she continued, her smirk growing immensely. "A date?"
"No." I deadpanned, waving my hand to shoo her away from my bed. "Could you move? I need to get changed."
"You know, Raven's pretty hot." Ashley captured her chin between her thumb and index, as if she was thinking very thoroughly about something. "She seems to be more interested in you than in any of her friends. She's stealing you from me. But, you know what, that's okay! Because she's hot and interested. Do you understand what I'm trying to tell you?"
"We just established our friendship yesterday, yeah, we're friends now." I moved my legs to the side of the bed to get up, going into my wardrobe to pull a vest over my bare body. I only wore my underwear under the dress, and it gave me quite a chilly sleep.
"That's not what I'm trying to say, Alice." Ash sauntered over to me with her hands behind her back, a giggle playing softly through her lips. "You should-"
"I'm not breaking up with Chris. Christ's sake, Ash, I just met the girl. I know nothing about her."
"And yet..." Ash continued, not caring about my words. "You're both equally interested in each other. Two people who don't seem to care about much in their lives. That's a big deal, you know? I haven't seen you this happy since..." I turned to face her eyes. She had a much more serious expression now.
"Don't finish that sentence." I narrowed my eyes at her, she gave me a look that said she wasn't going to anyways. "Besides, you don't even know if she swings that way."
