"-not a member of your guild?" A woman asked with an aged voice as Kayla started to come to consciousness. She seemed to be inside of a building laying on a bed.

"No. But I appreciate you calling me, something must of happened for her to be this injured, and if a force like that still exists out there, it's a threat to Fairy Tail and many other guilds." Someone else said, his voice was aged as well, but it seemed to have less of an edge that the first speaker held.

"You may be right. Or she could just be another human that got herself injured due to stupid reasons." The first speaker responded.

Kayaks decided it was time for her to know who exactly was speaking. Blinking open her eyes, she stared up at the ceiling until they focused. Sitting up, she flinched as pain seared through her body with the simple movement.

"I would suggest that you don't move too much right now. While your wounds have been treated, you could reopen them at the current time." The first speaker, a woman with her pink hair tied up in a bun and a stern expression said.

Kayla nodded. "Where am I?" She asked as she looked around the building. "And who are you guys?"

"I'm called Porlyusica, and you're in my house. I found you passed out in the woods and thinking you were from Fairy Tail I took you in to treat your wounds and called the master of that reckless guild. But it seems you were just a random injured human who stumbled into the woods."

Kayla frowned and she grabbed the blanket that was laid over her, the fabric in her hands. "Sorry." She said quietly.

"Don't apologize. But I am curious. What happened to you to get in the condition you were in?" Porylusica asked.

Kayla hesitated, she couldn't just tell them she had just escaped the Dark Guild and was part of a infamous group known as the Fearsome Five that all of Fiore fear. "I- I was going through the forest and was jumped by a group of- of bandits. I tried to fight them off but in the end they overpowered me and took everything that was in my possession." It wasn't an entire lie, but Kayla didn't know what they would do if they knew the truth.

The old man nodded, looking at Kayla with a slightly pitied look. Kayla bit her cheek to resist from snapping at him and telling him that she didn't need his pity.

"You said that you tried to fight them off, correct?" He asked. "I'm sensing magic from you, and if I may I would like to ask what type of magic you use."

"Oh, my magic. I just use Lightning magic, nothing too special." She said, relief washing over her when she saw the man nod. It seemed that he didn't sense her Dragon Slayer magic— meaning Melody's seal worked.

"Well, how would you like to join a guild?" He asked.

Kayla just looked at him, surprised at the sudden question. "A... guild?" She asked.

He nodded. "My name is Makarov. I am the master of a guild called Fairy Tail. I believe that you might fit right in with the others."

Kayla looked at him, the guild Fairy Tail. She had heard the name of that guild many times over when she was growing up. Most of what people said about it was that it was one of the strongest guilds in Fiore as well as the most destructive. She also knew that where she came from the wizards were frightened of Fairy Tail.

"Are you sure you want me to join Fairy Tail?" Kayla asked after some thought.

"Why wouldn't I? You seem like a capable wizard, and I believe that with a little practice and training, you'll become a strong individual and become a very valuable wizard to Fairy Tail."

There was a stinging in Kayla's chest. "I-I guess I'll join the guild."

Makarov gave her a smile, "Well then, I look forwards to seeing you in the guild hall!"

Kayla nodded, watching as he hopped down fro the chair he was sitting on and walked to the door. "Oh, and Porlyusia, please direct her to the guild once she's recovered. I'll be seeing you soon-" He paused, his eyes on Kayla.

Getting what he was silently asking, Kayla nodded slightly. "It's Kayla." She said simply.

He nodded. "I'll be seeing you soon, Kayla." He said before he walked out of the building and shut the door behind him, leaving Kayla in the room alone with the older woman.

Porlyusia let out a sigh of annoyance before she looked at Kayla, the blonde slightly frightened by the looked the older woman was giving her. "You'll be able to leave by tomorrow morning. I'll point you in the direction of that guild. Don't get lost."

"Y-yes ma'am!" Kayla said, knowing that Porlyusia was not someone to mess with. "Anyways. Thanks for helping me recover." She added.

Porlyusia was quiet, but Kayla could of sworn that she saw the woman give her a small nod. Kayla looked from her to outside the window that was near her bed as she got lost in thought. She finally made it outside of that place. And who knows, maybe her other friends were as fortunate as she was. She could only hope that she would be able to see them again sometime soon.
