Sitting in silence, a sudden pressure weighed over her and she stared at the Master with wide eyes. "But he might of found us."
—————

"Are you sure that was him?" Master asked, looking at Kayla, keeping whatever he was feeling behind a neutral expression.

"That surge was... his way of saying 'I'm close'." She tried hard to keep her voice carom shaking, but the amount of fear she was feeling was difficult to hide, and the Master noticed.

"When will he be here?"

"He'll arrive by the time the sun sets. We have until then to prepare everyone."

"Wizards of Fairy Tail!" The master shouted, standing on the railing of the second floor. The chatter in the guild died down and everyone looked up to the Master, then to Kayla, who was standing behind him.

"Hey! She's not an S-Class wizard! Why is she up there?" Natsu shouted.

"You are correct, Kayla is not an S-Class wizard, but she does have an announcement." He turned to look at Kayla, "My child, please say what you need to, time is limited."

Kayla nodded, and looked down at the wizards staring up at her. Swallowing her nerves she balled her fist. "I'm going to skip the pleasantries here, we don't have a lot of time. I'm sure by now all of you have felt that magical energy, well it came from a man named Mazin, the Master of Death's Storm."

Shocked chatter went through the guild, one voice rising above it all.

"And how would you know, huh?" Gavel challenged.

"Because... Because I've felt that magic before, before coming to Fairy Tail, I was a member of Death's Storm." She looked down, her eyes focusing on the railing in front of her, "I'm not proud of that time, and I never wanted to be a part of that guild, so I ran away."

"So, he's coming for you?" Erza clarified. "But if you were just any old member, why would the master of that guild risk himself to come looking for you?"

Kayla's fists started trembling, and her hands sparked. "I'm a member of the Fearsome Five. The nickname I was given by the guild and the public was Storm Bringer."

Gasps of horror, shock, and confusion filled the room.

"But if you're the Storm Bringer, aren't you supposed to be a dragon slayer? I haven't sensed anything more than lightning magic from you since you arrived." Freed said.

"You saw it a while ago." Kayla said, "There's a rune on my arm that seals my Dragon Slayer magic, But we'll talk more about it later, we can't waste any more time. We need to think of a plan, whatever happens, I can't go back to that place."

The plan was simple. Kayla was going to be taken to the Safehouse, surprisingly, Laxus had been the one to volunteer and protect her. Everyone else was going to lure the Master into thinking Kayla was somewhere else. All the while, the rest of the guild would be fighting to keep whatever wizards the Master had brought along.

Currently, Kayla was following Laxus to the safe house, walking through the alleyways in the city. Her hand was over her guild mark, almost as if she were trying to keep it safe, like she was going to lose it. As they were walking, there have been pulses of the magical energy, getting more and ore frequent. This was how the master alerted people that he was getting close.

Kayla looked up at Laxus, who was walking in front of her. He was the only one who wasn't surprised alongside the rest of the guild, the only one who had already known who she really was before today. Thinking about it, he could of totally outed her secret to the rest of the guild, she wouldn't be surprised, but he didn't. He kept her secret a secret, and watched over her like a guard.

"Laxus-" Kayla stared, her voice barely a whisper. But she knew he would hear her, there was no way he couldn't with his enhanced hearing.

"What?"

"I... I wanted to say thank you."

"For what? Brining you to the safe house? You're in the Thunder Legion, so I'm practically responsible for you." He said, not nothing to turn and look at her.

"No, for not telling anyone about me. I'm a previous member on one of the top feared dark guilds, normally people wouldn't hesitate to tell somebody when there's someone dangerous-"

"Be quiet, idiot." Laxus interrupted, turning around and looking over his shoulder, "You're not a treat to Fairy Tail. I've seen how you interact with the others in the guild, there's no way you would purposely hurt any of our guild mates."

"R-Right." Kayla said.

"Besides... there's no way you could be evil, that's- that's just not you."

Kayla stared at him, seeing the smallest hint of red at the tips of his ears. Despite the stress and the panic running through her, Kayla smiled. With Laxus, she felt safe. With Fairy Tail she felt safe. Knowing that they all had her back made her felt safe.

Kayla looked up at him, a hint of red on her cheeks, "Laxus. I wanted to say I lov-"

And then everything went black.
