Oncoming Storm (Fairy Tail)

Chapter 22

After they were contacted by Mermaid Heel, Lamia Scale, and Blue Pegasus, Fairy Tail choose five wizard to join the rescue team. Those wizards were Natsu, Erza, Gajeel, Wendy, and Laxus. Natsu wasn't going to be left behind, Erza was an S-Class wizard and would be able to overwhelm many of the members of Death's Storm, Gajeel knew where Death's Storm was located due to his past in Phantom Lord, Wendy was support, strength. She would be able to heal those who had been injured during the fight and use her Dragon Slayer magic to beat down the enemy.

It was sundown when the groups from all the guilds met up. From Blue Pegasus the wizards joining them was The Trimens—Hibiki, Eve, Ren, and (Much to Erza's dread) Ichiya . From Lamia Scale there was Lyon, Sherria, and Yuka, from Mermaid Heel the wizards joining them were Kagura and Milliana.

Overall it was a group of sixteen wizards going to rescue the Fearsome Five. They didn't take long in talking of a a plan— there wasn't much time.

Natsu, Erza, Lyon, Yuka, Sherria, The Trimen, and the wizards from Mermaid Heel were going to storm in and distract the wizards to drag most of them out into the fight. With them all being powerful wizards, they were sure to drag out the strongest of the guild. Gajeel, Wendy, and Laxus were going to find the five. Gajeel and Laxus were going as fire power for those who were most likely still defending wherever the five were being held. Sherria and Wendy going as both Fire power and healing— the five would most likely need healing once they were found.

After the plan was formed, they all headed straight towards the unsuspecting Dark Guild.

Kayla could feel herself getting weaker and weaker by the minute. It was getting hard to stay conscious, but she forced herself to stay awake out of pure spite. She knew Fairy Tail was going to get her, she was family to them, she knew they were not going to leave her to die. She wanted to see Mazin's face after he witnesses the guild he dedicated his life to was beaten to the ground. She wanted to see him feel the same panic and suffering she felt when she and her friends discovered their purpose in this guild.

She looked at her friends, Valorie and Melody looked to of put up the most fight out of the five of them. Both of them were bloodied and bruised, April had some scrapes on her and Finny had barely anything. It seemed they were the two of them who went without a fight. Kayla would have to redeem herself in the future— if she even had a future.

"Don't look so sad. You're giving to the greater good!" Mazin said, spotting the expression on Kayla's face.

Kayla just glared before perking up ever so slightly. Above her, she heard the sound of multiple footsteps walking over grass. One pair was extremely familiar to her. She looked Mazin dead in the eye and smirked, "The greater good doesn't come without a price."

"What do you-"

At that moment, a girl with short pink hair burst through the door. "Master! The Guild— Wizards— A lot."

"Spit it out!" Mazin snapped.

"We're under attack!" The girl shouted.

Mazin scowled, turning to Kayla, who just kept the smirk on her face. "You, what did you do?" He seethed.

"I didn't do anything. Just like how you came for us, our guilds are doing the same. Except there's one difference; They're our real families."

Mazin scoffed, then turned towards a small group of wizards and mages, "You, go up and defend the doors. Make sure nobody gets through. The rest, continue with the process. I'll make sure nobody gets inside."

Kayla watched as the group rushed out of the room, Death's Storm might have strong wizards, but nothing is stronger than the bond of family.
