Kayla stood in front of Fairy Hills, looking up at the slightly large and imposing building. Her hand tightened around the small bag she had in her hands of a few changes of clothes the she had bought with the extra jewel she had that hadn't gone towards her rent.

"Oh, hello!" Someone said and Kayla looked up to see a girl with short blue hair walk up to her. "You must be the wizard who's moving in today. I don't think I've met you before." She held her hand out, "My name is Levy, Levy Mcgarden."

Kayla took Levy's hand with a small smile. "I'm Kayla. It's a pleasure."

"I'm sure you would like a tour of the place so you don't get lost. I know when I was just moving in this place seemed like a maze."

Kayla chucked, "I would love it for you to show me around, if it's not too much trouble."

"Oh, don't worry about it, if you'll follow me I'll give you the official tour of Fairy Hills."

Kayla followed Levy all around the building as the bluenette showed her each part of Fairy Hills. The lobby held a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Following Levy through one of the doors, the two of them moved through the building. Levy showed Kayla the washroom where all the girls could bathe with the other girls who lived in the dorm. After the bathroom, Kayla was shown the resource room down in the basement, which held records of each job from Fairy Tail as well as some free reading material for those who just wanted to read. After Kayla was shown around the dorms, Levy showed Kayla to the room she would be staying in.

"Thank you for the tour." Kayla said. "I don't know what I would of done if not for you."

"It's not a problem. I'll be off now! If you need anything, feel free to ask." With that, Levy walked down the hall leaving Kayla standing in front of her new room. Unlocking the door, Kayla stepped inside and looked at her surroundings. The room came with the basics. A bed on the far left, a simple desk next to the window at the back of the room, a dresser on the other side of the window, and a door that lead to a private bathroom.

Dropping her bag on the bed, Kayla looked out her window, letting out a gasp of delight as she saw the view. The ocean stretched out in front of her. The view was absolutely stunning. After a minute or two of staring, Kayla pulled herself away from the window, she grabbed her bag and started to put away the small amount of clothing that she had into the dresser. Maybe once she had more jewel to spend she'd be able to personalize her room more to her tastes, but for now, the room was perfect.

Though it was still early in the morning, and Kayla didn't want to spend the rest of the day in her rom so she decided to head back down the guild hall and meet some of her guild mates. So far she had only me Mirajane and Levy due to Kayla going out on jobs during the day when everyone is at the guild hall. And if she were to be a member of Fairy Tail for a while she would need to know her guild mates.

She walked down to the guild hall and headed inside, being met with noise and rowdy wizards, a total contrast from when she first got to the guild. Wizards who were on jobs when she first arrived had returned, of course, they had been returning since the day she arrived but it seemed that now everyone was back.

"You must be the new member I've been told about." A voice said and Kayla looked behind her to see a tall scarlet haired woman standing behind her. It didn't take long before Kayla recognized her as the intimidating Fairy Queen Tatiana— or better known as Erza Scarlet. She's heard about her as she's grown up, and it was fair to say that she was terrified to be standing in front of her.

"And you're Erza..." Kayla squeaked, "Ah— sorry, my name is Kayla. And yeah, I guess I am the new member unless someone else joined in the past few days."

Erza smiled, "I like your style." She said as she motioned to the armor Kayla was wearing.

Kayla blushed slightly, "Thank you. It was a reward from a job I did." She scratched the back of her head.

"I'm curious, what type of magic do you use?"

He upfrontess took Kayla slightly aback. "Me? Oh, I use plain old lightning magic, nothing too interesting, nothing like your famed requip magic."

Erza gave Kayla a smile, "Nonsense. I bet your magic has more potential than you think." Erza said before there was a loud crash and a table were it wasn't supposed to be. "Now if you excuse me, I have someone to talk to." At that Erza turned and walked away to scold a pink haired boy.

"Why would you talk to her when you can talk to the real queen of the fairies?" A voice asked and Kayla looked up to see a woman dressed in green with long brown hair. "My name is Evergreen, and don't forget it."

"I... I won't." Kayla said, taken aback by how forward this woman, Evergreen, was.

"I overhead your conversation with Erza and I hear that you use Lightning magic."

"Yeah... you heard right."

Evergreen looked at her before letting out a small squeal. "You know, you're kinda cute." She said suddenly.

"W... what?" Kayla asked, her cheeks reddening.

"I think you would be the perfect addition the The Thunder Legion. You're not going rival my elegance and beauty, but your cuteness will help balance out the team, I have been wanting another girl with us for quite a while." Evergreen smirked, "Come with me." She grabbed Kayla's arm and started dragging her towards a corner of the guild, were three people were standing and talking. As they approached, the people looked in their direction and Kayla suddenly felt like she wanted to disappear.

"Who's this?" A Blond man with a scar over his eye asked as he looked down at Kayla.

"This cute little girl is the newest member of Fairy Tail. And guess what, she uses Lightning magic." Evergreen said.

"Lightning magic?" A man with long green hair asked as he looked at Kayla cooly before he glanced at the blond. "I doubt that she's a match for Laxus's Lightning, he is a Dragon Slayer after all."

"Yeah. How could puny lightning magic compare?" The third male, who had a mask over his head agreed, the floating totems behind him repeating "puny" a few times.

A Dragon Slayer? Kayla thought as she looked up at Laxus. She knew there were other Dragon Slayers out there but she had personally never met them herself. Back when she was with that dark guild the only times she went outside were when she was on supervised missions and she was prevented from straying far from the supervisors so she never actually got to see any other Dragon Slayers with her own eyes.

"Well of course she isn't as strong as me. Why did you bring this girl over here, Evergreen?" Laxus asked, breaking Kayla out of her thoughts. "She looks like she'd fit in more with Salamander and those other weaklings."

"But her magic is the perfect fit for the Thunder Legion and she could help you if your ever low on power. Not to mention she's pretty cute." Evergreen said, still trying to convince Laxus. "Don't you agree, Bickslow, Freed?"

"Well, thinking about it, Evergreen is right." The green haired man who Kayla assumed was Freed, said. "Since she uses lightning magic she could easily replenish your own magic power."

"And she is pretty cute." Bickslow said, laughing and sticking out his tongue.

"Don't I get a say in this?" Kayla piped up, not really liking the idea of being used as a magic battery for Laxus. Though unfortunately it seemed as if she wasn't heard. She just sighed, it's not like this was the first time she's been ignored.

Laxus was quiet, seeming to think about what his teammates were saying. "We can't just let her in that easily." He started, "She has to prove herself first."

Something about the tone of his voice and the look in his eyes made fear strike Kayla's heart, but it seemed as if this group, the Thunder Legion, wasn't going to just let her decide to not join them. The only thing she could hope for is that proving herself won't be too dangerous.
