The group was walking through the castle ruins, the electricity was even stronger here, and the amount of it that was in the air was making the seal on Kayla's arm pulse with the amount of ethernano that as getting absorbed into her body. Glancing at Laxus, she could tell that he was being effected as well by the way he had his hands balled up, tensing every so often as a yellow light flickered between them.

Kayla saw Laxus stop suddenly, his nose twitching slightly. Upon seeing him sniff the air, Kayla's nose twitched slightly as she smelled the air around them, a new scent hit her nose. It was similar to the lightning storm that was going on outside, but it held a scent that made Kayla aware that whatever— or whoever was near them was a human.

"Looks like you've found me~" a voice said, and Kayla saw a teenage boy step out of the shadows. He looked to be about her age, with spiked up white hair and striking golden eyes. The smell of a storm radiated off of him, and Kayla gritted her teeth, knowing that this boy was the one impersonating her.

"You the Storm Bringer?" Laxus asked, not seeming phased by the potential threat standing right in front of him.

"That depends, who's asking?" The boy asked, tilting his head slightly.

"Me." Laxus said, his eyes narrowing in a way that said 'I don't have to tell you anything'.

"Well then lightning man, I am the infamous Storm Bringer. It's a pleasure to meet you, me~" he bowed and looked up at the group, not even a second later the ground hopped with lightning, causing Kayla, Bickslow, Evergreen, and Freed to scream out in pain and fall to their knees.

Kayla panted, looking at the ground with wide eyes. She'd never felt lightning like that. She had fought Laxus, sure, and had experienced other lightning attacks but this guy's lightning was new to her. Her body tried to absorb the ethernano in it, but every time it did another shock was sent through her. By the time it died down, she felt slightly lightheaded but forced herself to stand up and get into a defensive pose.

It seemed that Laxus had the same experience she did, he was gritting his teeth and seemed slightly unsteady, but he was quick to steady himself. Luckily, the others behind her were also getting up so she and Laxus didn't have to fight this guy alone.

"Surprised to see you on your feet, newbie." Laxus said, not even sparing a glance at Kayla.

"An attack like that won't keep me down." Kayla replied, keeping her eyes on the boy in front of them.

"You're a tough group, I'll give you that. But that was just a warm up." The 'Storm Bringer' said. He brought his hands up and Kayla felt electricity hopping overhead, and soon a bolt of lightning hit the ground right in front of Laxus, causing everyone, except Laxus, to jump.

That man just have nerves of steel. Kayla thought as she slowly recovered from the sudden lightning bolt.

"You think your puny lightning attacks can harm me? Spells like yours only make me stronger." Laxus said.

"You sure bout that?" 'Storm Bringer' asked, raising his hand and sending a bolt of lightning towards Laxus, who didn't even one a muscle as it hit him, until—

Kayla watched with wide eyes as Laxus tensed up, lightning hopping around his body as it was slowly absorbed, looking as if it did more harm than good.

"Laxus!" Freed shouted, stepping forwards to try to help him.

"I got this." Laxus snapped, his voice sounding strained.

"No you don't you're obviously in pain." Freed said, making an attempt to reason with him.

The lightning finally dispersed and Laxus let out a quiet sigh of relief, just quiet enough for Kayla to barely hear with her enhanced senses. She gritted her teeth before glaring at the 'Storm Bringer' in front of them.

"Had enough, Dragon Boy?" 'Storm Bringer' asked.

"Please." Laxus scoffed, "That barely stung."

Bickslow's totems moved to attack the man, all of them being immediately struck down by lightning, and by the scent and feel of the spell, they were stronger than the last few that were sent down on the group, luckily it didn't hit Bickslow and only attacked his totems.

"My babies!" He exclaimed, turning to glare at the 'Storm Bringer, a green glow appearing from under his mask as his expression turned into a scowl. He flipped his mask up and looked at the teen in front of him dead in the eye. "You'll pay for doing that."

Kayla looked from Bickslow to the boy, watching as his body seemed to darken and slack, his eyes glowing a similar color to Bickslow's.

"Good job, Bickslow!" Evergreen cheered, "Now he's open to our attacks!" She jumped into the air and the wings on her back spread out. Kayla watched as she sent a barrage of golden Fairy Bullets at the 'Storm Bringer'.

"You gonna stay behind and let everyone else do all the work, newbie?" Laxus asked, turning into lightning and weaving between Evergreen's attacks to land a hit on the teen.

"Course not!" Kayla exclaimed, electricity hopping around her before she turned into lightning and headed straight towards the 'Storm Bringer'. Though just as she moved to land a punch on him, his arm she out and grabbed her neck, holding tightly.

"What? How did he break through?" Evergreen asked, glancing at Bickslow who was wiping his nose, seeming to be recovering from a sneeze.

"Man. That was a great effort. But if you think you feeble fairies can bring me down, you've got another thing coming for you." His hand tightened around Kayla's neck as he lifted her off the ground.

"If... you think... think you faker can scare me then—." Kayla chocked out. She reached up and grabbed his wrist, "You're in for a shock." Soon the both of them were alight with electricity. She was putting everything she had into this attack, she knew that he wouldn't be effected by the regular output of electricity, but the amount she was giving would for sure bring him down, it was the combined amount of her own magic and the lightning she had been absorbing while on the island.

He let go of her neck and she fell to the ground, breathing heavily. Though her lightheadedness, she watched as he stumbled back and fell to the ground, his body limp as he became unconscious. She stumbled slightly, it seemed that she had underestimated the toll that outputting that much magic would have on her. But, she did it in one spell, she glanced at Laxus and the others before she fell limp and everything turned black.
