Ellie's P.O.V.

I'm still worried about Jamie. He seems to be back to normal, and it's scaring me. He is trying to distract himself but its not working. This just means we need to get Lottie back more than ever. She was the only one who could possibly get him back from his world of misery. So far he's just about been reachable but the week before we were due to carry out our rescue mission he became unreachable once again. I think the fact that it was Christmas made it worse as he didn't have school work to distract his mind. And God forbid if you ever talked about Lottie. Jamie would most likely break down once again. I know it hurts but if he loved her then surely he should be talking about her so as not to forget her. But then Lottie is kind of hard to forget.

It was the week of the rescue and Jamie was locked in his room sitting alone. He said he wanted to be on his own so naturally I knocked on the door.

Knock knock

"Go away Raphael I'm not in the mood!"

"Jamie its me, Ellie"

"Oh sorry, come in"

I entered to see Jamie sat on his bed with his head down towards the floor. He looked awful.

"Jamie why are you still sad?"I asked genuinely curious to see how he'd answer.

"Because Lottie is still not here and she never will be. She once said to me that things get better in time but I'm not so sure. I don't think I'm going to get better. If she's not here what do we do?"

"Jamie have some hope! If you think like that you will never get her back, not even in your heart, so stop feeling sorry for yourself and go and do something." and with that I left the room, leaving him to ponder everything I said.
