It was a warm summer day, My parents decided to have a small bonfire tonight, Invite the Guys' parents and just have a small get together

"We'll be right back we're gonna go get some stuff for tonight" Dad grabbed the keys

I nodded "Alright"

"We want you to get some stuff set up in the backyard like setting up the firepit and getting chairs" mom added

"Will do" I walked out deciding to get started early

"We'll be back soon!" Dad yelled as I was closing the sliding glass door

As I was geting the chairs out of the shed I heard a noise, I looked behind me and saw Gerard and Mikey "Sup?"

"Nothing..uhhh" Mikey pointed towards everything "What's this?"

I crossed my arms taking a feel breath "My parents are having a get together with our family's"

They both nodded "Nice" Gerard gave a small smile, he then nodded towards me and the chairs "Need help?"

I shrugged "If you don't mind" I then walked over to the speaker and hit play on my iPod as Last Resort by Papa Roach came on making me turn it up louder

The party had started about a half hour ago I decided to put on some old shorts and a old shirt to go swimming

I walked outside and saw the guys in sitting by the pool, I ran over jumping over them into the water, once I came up they all were laughing

"Nice" Frank laughed

Gerard looked "Hey" he pointed towards me "Where's your swimsuit?"

I had to make a excuse, they hadn't known about my scars "Couldn't find it must've been misplaced" I shrugged as I sat besides them

"Oh" Gerard frowned a bit "Okay" he shrugged

"You guys wanna dive in?" I pointed at the water "It is kinda hot out"

They looked at each other and smiled.. I knew those smiles

"Oh shit" I tried to get up and run but it was no use cause soon enough I was in the water

I came back up and they were laughing their asses off so one by one I grabbed their legs pulling them in "Paybacks a bitch!"

They came back up "Really?" Ray laughed as he climbed up

"How the Hell are you so fast?" Frank asked

I chuckled "Did you forget my parents made me do both Track and Softball?" I climbed up and sat along the edge

"Oh yeah I forgot about that" Frank chuckled

"How could you, she did it for four years" Mikey looked at him

"Foods ready!" Dad called out

Gerard took my hand which sent butterflies into my stomach, he looked at me and smiled "C'mon"

After the bonfire me and Gerard decided to just sit in the backyard for a bi, he looked at me "Can I ask you something?"

I nodded "Yeah anything"

He looked up at the stars "How about me and You, Till the end of everything"

My eye's widened "What do you mean by that?" What was he talking about?

"Like No matter what happens in life" he looked at me "No matter where we are we'll find each other and go out of this world together just me and you"

I gave a confused looked "What are you talking about?"

He sat up "This world is going to shit and I wouldn't want to live in it without my best friend" he gave a small smile

I raised an eyebrow "So suicide?"

He shook his head "No not really like that, But also kinda yeah"

I nodded "Okay"

"Jade.. Gerard!" Mom sounded frantic

We both looked at each other and ran inside "What's wrong!" I asked, Everyone was looking at the TV

Something called that said Better Living was on the screen "What's that?" Gerard asked then

"Better Living Industries have you smiled today?" A womans voice came on "We are pleased to announce a better way to life with Better Living, Starting tomorrow morning we will send people to your door to see if your living the life you should be, we will provide-"

I walked away what the hell is Better Living are they apart of the government or something.. Was it the end of our world?

I walked to my room and shut the door, I started shaking what was happening, there was a knock on the door "Hey you okay?" Gerard opened the door, he saw me sitting there shaking, he rushed over "Hey calm down"

I shook my head "I can't" I looked at him "What the fuck is Better Living?.. What's going to happen?"

He shook his head "I'm not sure but t
hey" he took my hand "No matter what We'll always have each other.. Till the end remember"
