-Chapter 34-

Lucas and sapphire talked about the surgery with the others and they were feeling uneasy and uncomfortable in his plan, of course they are excited about him getting a surgery.

But at the same time, they were scared that the surgery might fail. Lucas told them about the possibility if he continues this surgery, everyone felt really uncomfortable.

But all they have to do is to remain calm and accept the consequences or the possibility.

Sapphire hands were trembling so is her legs, the possibility made her even more scared, questions she keep questioning in her head.

Gloria noticed sapphire so quickly, she walk closer to Lucas and whisper something to his ear.

"Are you sure about this Lucas?" Gloria asked as her voice trembled in fear.

Lucas nodded.

"What if the surgery fails?" Gloria asked. "Sapphire isn't the best doctors in town." She added, Lucas shake his head.

"She may not be the best doctor in the world but I truly trust her in the bottom of my heart." Lucas said, Gloria felt her tears rolling down in her cheeks, but she quickly wiped it.

"If that would make you happy, i will not hesitate, but you better comfort sapphire right now, she's really shaking, almost crying." Gloria said, Lucas nodded.

"Sapphire."

"Yes?" She replied in a low tone. "I'm ready." He said, sapphire nodded ang grab his hands and brought him in the room where she operated Ronaldo.

She gently push him made him lay on the operating table. "Lucas.." she called

"Hmm?" He hums in response, waiting for her to speak. "Keep your promise, please."

Lucas slightly smile. "If you keep mine." He said, sapphire slightly nodded.

"Lucas, this might sting, i'll inject a drug on you to make you sleep." She said, Lucas nodded.

But before she injected him, Lucas stopped her by holding her wrist. "I truly trust you in this." He said.

"But what ever happens, i wanted to say thank you for everything." Lucas said, sapphire smiled not even realizing a tear left in the corner of her eyes.

She injected the syringe on him, He felt a slight sting but he didn't move a slight or wince in pain. "Count 1-10 Lucas and you'll rest." She said.

Lucas counts numbers in his thought, as he reach to number 9 he felt his eyelids begin to slowly close as he felt nothing and doze off.

Sapphire grabbed the scalpel and clasped it between in her hands.
"Dear god, please help me.." she said as she prayed.

She was shaking, she was nervous as her sweat starts to drip, hearing the beeping sound of the monitor, she let out a sigh.

She remembers every word he said to her made her calm down. "I can do this."

"Lucas trust me."

She wore her surgical mask and her coat, then she begin the operation.

Sapphire's POV-

I made a cut in the outer layer of his eye and cut trough the sclera of his eye, sclera is the white part of its eye, and it is very fragile.

I remove the fluid that damage the eyes with a needle.

then I carefully removed all any scar tissue or debris in his eye, that happened from the accident.

Once i take the fluid out, i will make any other repairs that his eyes needs. Then i injected a gas bubble into his eye to keep his retina in place, the bubble will go away slowly on its own.

It took several hours for me to keep him safe and unharmed.

Finally I'm almost done, i filled his eye with saline. For the finishing touch, and then i stitch to close up the cuts in his eye, but most of the people don't really need them.

As the monitor keep making a sound, the beeping noise is the only thing you can hear in this silent room.

I almost cried.

"I-i.." i cooed, trying to held back some tears.

"O-oh my god..."

I successfully did the surgery! I jumped all over and over again, quietly squealing in joy.

I felt my streamy tears, my puffy cheeks and my red nose. "I did it.." i said almost all over again, i still cannot believed it.

Then I remembered i am still not done yet, i need to do the finishing touch.

I put antibiotic ointment on his eyes and cover it with a patch.

"I really did it.."

As i got out, everyone stared at me for a second and a loud sharp cry, more like a yell entered the room, i saw Gabriel and the others dramatically crying sobbing while sneezing loudly at
Their hankering then everyone did the same.

"Why are you all crying?" I asked.

Everyone didn't replied, but they all continued crying louder. "Oh god, please take care of our boy Lucas!" Gloria yelled while sobbing.

"Lucas! Whyy?? Why did you left us?!!" Gabriel yelled while crying loudly.

"My son.. i will pray for him, just please! take care of him." Uncle Ronaldo said while crying quietly.

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked, they just stared at me and continuously sobbing.

"Lucas is not dead." I said, made them all stop from crying, and stared at me for a moment, giving me a confused expression.

"W-What?" They asked in unison.

I smiled softly at them. "He is now in a good condition, the operation is a success job." I added made them all stop from crying and gasp loudly as their jaw dropped.

"L-Lucas c-can finally s-see?!" Aunt Gloria asked, i nodded made Everyone jumps in joy, yells in happiness, and slightly scream in satisfaction.

Everyone walk closer to me and gave me a group hug, i hug back as well as tears rolled down in our cheeks.

"I was really scared, I thought i'm going to fail." I said sobbing, wiping my tears. "But you didn't honey! You didn't!" She said letting out a laugh on the end.

"We were all scared." She said. "But what matters right now is you succeeded honey! You succeed the operation! Lucas can finally see!!" They yelled all of them.

"Lucas can finally be happy."
