Sapphire's POV-
Waking up in the middle of the night, i was interrupted by a loud continuously loud knock on the door.
I open my eyes to look for Lucas, but he wasn't here.. he's not here.. "Lucas?" I called for him, but not even a cricket answered.
Then I thought.. maybe the person on the door was Lucas. I grabbed my silk red robe and wrap it around my body.
I peeped on the peephole and checked who was the person outside, my eyes widen when i saw Carlos. He was wearing a trench coat and continuously knocking on the door.
"What is he doing in here?" I asked myself.
I unlocked the door and opened to face him. "Carlos.. umm, What are you doing in here?" I asked.
He didn't say anything, but I noticed him staring at me head to toes then diverted back to the orbs of my eyes.
"May i ask, but what are you doing in here?" I asked confused.
Suddenly he chuckles quietly, His fingers trails to my neck down to my chest made me shocked, I slapped his hands away from me.
"What in the world?!?" I asked.
"Oh Aurora, you are the most beautiful woman i have ever seen in my whole goddamn life, Why did you have to be his?" He asked.
"Are you drunk?" I asked irritated.
"Don't be irritated darling! Where's the husband of yours?" He asked, I didn't speak, I don't know where he is right now.
He grins. "He's not here? Well that's good."
He entered our room, passing through me without my permission. "Excuse me? You better leave or else i have to call the security."
He didn't listen to me, He just stared at me for long and I didn't even move, my arms were crossed. "So feisty." He said.
He lift my chin using his finger. "I wonder what's underneath that robe." He said stretching the hem of my silk cloth.
I grabbed his arms and twisted it, made him loudly groan in pain. "Aren't you gonna leave or not?" I asked.
His painful groan turned into a bitterly chuckle. "You know how to fight."
"Why? Can't a woman Fight?" I asked, painfully twisting it even more. "I bet Lucas already told you about the gang?" He said, made me quite froze.
My hands were sliding off of his wrist, he suddenly grabbed my hands and put it behind my back, made me faced the wall.
"What are you talking about?" I asked, I'm really curious right now.
"Lucas didn't told you? You are his wife, I thought he was loyal?" He laughed, my blood boils hearing those from him, i kicked him in the balls made him fell on his knees.
He wheeze. "My wife, his ex knew about his gang, but you didn't.. " he said. "What are you talking about?" I asked really dumbfounded.
"Sweetie isn't obvious?"
"Your husband is part of a gang..."
"And you're in real. Big. Danger." He added. I don't really understand, he told me everything, every of his secrets, but why didn't I knew about this?
"I-I Don't believe you." I stutters.
"Oh really? Where do you think he got all his amazing karate skills?"
I slightly gasp. "He was lying to you the whole time, is this even trust?" He asked, i never wanted to believe him.
"Where do you think did Lucas go?"
"Maybe he killed someone or might kill someone someday, i gotta tell you in advance Sapphire... if he killed someone, he will leave you.."
He walk closer while i step away from him.
"And he will never come back—"
Suddenly our attention diverted on the door that made a loud thud. It was Lucas.
His face was so red in madness. He looks like a demon whose ready to kill someone.
He looked at me worriedly and then he looked at Carlos deadly in the eye, he rushed to him and grabbed him by his collar, he punched him across his face.
"DON'T YOU EVER COME NEAR HER EVER AGAIN OR ELSE I'LL KILL YOU." He yelled as he keep punching him with all his might.
I realized what he was just doing made my adrenaline rushed. I stopped Lucas by grabbing him his arms whispering to him to stop.
He looked at me with his soft eyes and hugged me tightly, i almost cried.. 'Why did you lie to me?'
Carlos stood up, legs wiggling, he wiped the blood off of his face. "You.." he pants. "You're going to pay for this Lucas.."
"And you Aurora.."
"Remember what i said." With that he left.
Lucas wrap both of his arms around me and kisses me. "Are you okay? Are you hurt? Did something happened? I'm—"
"Where were you?" I asked almost tearing up. "I-I.. i meet up with a friend.. she needed my help.. she's homeless."
'Are you still lying to me?'
"Lucas.. Are you lying?" I asked, he froze for a moment but quickly shake his head. "N-No.. i'm not."
"Did that bastard tell some lies again?" He asked. "Lucas.. I'm confused.."
I said trying to calm myself. "Baby i'm sorry, Don't be.. I'm really sorry I wasn't here.." he said cupping my cheeks.
"Lucas tell me the truth." I said.
"W-What do you mean?" He asked, he stuttered. 'Something is not right..'
"Are you part of a gang?"
He froze.. he.. froze. He didn't say anything he just stayed silent. "Baby I don't understand you.."
"I'm the one who doesn't understand you! You're making me confused, please don't make me.." i said i was almost tearing up.
"Please tell me the truth." I muttered, he just looked at me in the eyes, i take a deep breath trying to hold myself and asked the simple question I could ask him.
"Are you part of a gang?"
