Sapphire has done the surgery 3 days ago, Ronaldo was awake now, he needed a rest, still stuck in bed. he just and he can't stop thanking her since after the operation, everyone was relieved that Ronaldo's Kidney cancer has been cured, but everyone didn't know how much she was just so scared but focus while doing her job.
But somehow, there's something Sapphire can't bare, she felt something heavy in her chest, she was hurt but why?
-Flashback-
Sapphire was shaking, trembling trying to focus while operating Ronaldo, She operated him on an empty useless room, basically she was shock that they have complete set of surgical kits, they even have a tiny monitor where you can see his heart rate, and an oxygen tank.
Sapphire never knew why they have these, but Damn rich people and buy all the things they want and put it somewhere not using it.
Gloria and the others were waiting for her to come out, Gloria was holding her rosary, clasping both of her hands and praying continuously long words in a different language while Gabriel and the other staffs were comforting her.
After a long wait, sapphire cannot believe she has completed the operation, she thank god that the cancer that spread in other parts was no longer there, she has released a loud sigh of relief and she wiped her sweats, stitching to close his wound.
Sapphire took off her mask, her gloves and put the scalpel down on the metal tray.
Sapphire held her chest in relief that he survived and she succeeded the operation, she was so scared and keep thinking that she was going to fail but actually she succeeded.
Sapphire got out of the room, everyone stood up from their chair and walked to sapphire. "W-what happened?" Gloria stutters, sapphire who cannot believed almost teared up, she still has this operating skills that she had learned, she smiled widely.
"It was a succeed." Sapphire giggles. Made everyone cried out of joy, Gloria hugged sapphire tightly as she repeatedly thanks her, Sapphire hugs her back, but somehow Sapphire noticed something made her feel bad. "Where's lucas?" She asked.
Everyone looked at each other, and shut their mouth. "Uhh ehh.. How long does he have to stay in bed?" Gabriel asked. "It will take a while, he needed a rest." Sapphire said.
"Excuse me." Sapphire said as she left them all alone, she knocked on Lucas's room, but no one answered, she search every mansion looking for Lucas, but in the end she found her in his man cave drinking a glass of whiskey while sitting on his leather chair.
"Lucas?" Sapphire smiled seeing him. "Lucas, Your uncle is in good health, you should come down and see him." Sapphire said, but Lucas ignored her, drinking his whiskey straight. "That's great." Lucas said sarcastically. "Please leave me." He said.
Sapphire noticed something was odd. "Lucas is there something wrong?" She asked, Lucas shrugs, putting the glass of whiskey down on the counter, he scoffs. Sapphire hates it seeing him, being cold towards her. He stood up, he grabbed his cane and walk pass through sapphire, sapphire didn't understand why she didn't move, but at some point.. She got hurt.
She didn't followed him or stopped him, she knew that something is wrong, she just don't know what? Why is he mad? Sapphire went back to check the other.
Ronaldo was put in a different room, it was nice and comfy. Sapphire smiles softened when she found Gloria hugging her husband who was resting, telling him stories of how Sapphire saved him, sapphire kept a force smile, she sat beside Gloria, Gloria held sapphire's hands as her eyes waters.
"Thank you dear.. How can i ever repay you?" Gloria asked as she wipe her tears of joy. "No need." She said, sapphire's smile saddened when she remembered Lucas, and Gloria noticed that. "Miss Gloria, whats wrong with Lucas?" Sapphire asked.
Gloria's eyes wide open, as she slightly opens her mouth but quickly shut it. "Uhh.. I think he is just stress dear, maybe he is just shock." Gloria said, Sapphire was quite confuse about Lucas.. "It's really nothing dear, don't worry i'll talk to him soon." Gloria said, Sapphire quickly nodded.
"Maybe he is stress..." Sapphire cooed.
-Flashback ended-
Before things happened, Lucas was in his room, punching the wall with his fist, his fist bleed. He was so confuse about his feelings, He's mad, he just wanted to kill someone, but no matter what he just can't hurt sapphire, he'll just stay mad at her, but the way her voice saddened as he told her to leave, his heart dropped and shattered into a million pieces.
Why can't he hurt her? Is he...... inlove with her? He hasn't even barely knows her.
Sapphire is just a friend, but his heart keep telling him that sapphire is not just a friend, she was special.. More special than others,, but he just can't stop himself, he just wanted to kill himself for trusting a girl who came out actually a doctor, he promised himself that he will never trust a doctor cause they're all just the same.
His fist that was covered in bandage were now covered with blood, hands shaking slightly as he clenched it tightly as blood dripped on his floor, he just wanted to yell at her, make her suffer, let her taste his wrath but he can't do it.
His mind keep telling him to never trust her, hurt her, yell at her, but her heart keep looking, screaming for her name, thanks her. Love her.
But Sometimes Promises broke right?
Suddenly a knock on the door interrupted him, he doesn't wanna open it... But hearing the familiar voice, he grabbed and search for the door knob and then he opened the door.
"Lucas.." It was his aunt Gloria.
