Blind Love At Supramonte

-Chapter 16-

Sapphire went to the kitchen and there he found Gabriel cooking the dish she was making. "Whats this hun? It looks delicious." Gabriel said. "It is delicious." She said. "Clam chowder, it's famous in New York." She added. Gabriel handed the spoon to Sapphire, and stir it all around.

"You didn't told me that you're a chef." Gabriel said while chopping celery. "I have lots of job, i was a barista, a waitress, a chef, and a do--
Sapphire didn't finished her sentence when someone interrupted her and Gabriel. "Smells good." It was Lucas, nodding his head lightly, he said it in a low voice.

"Lucas! hun, what are you doing here in the kitchen?" Gabriel asked. "Nothing, it's just the smell.. It's familiar.. I think i knew that smell years ago in Miami." He said. "Is it Clam Chowder?" Lucas guess, and Lucas guessed right.

"Its the one and only! And made by our lovely sapphire." Gabriel said elbowing sapphire, sapphire slightly smiled, flattered by them. "Oh stop!" She said a bit embarrassed, she continued cooking by adding ingredients in the pot. Lucas was quite down cause he never knew what she looks like.

"It's done." Sapphire said, as she turned off the stove. "I'll prepare the table." Jewel and Annie said and got in the dining area.

Lucas went to the table and sit on the very front row, he rolled his sleeves and grabbed the cloth, fold it and put it on his lap. Sapphire came out of the kitchen while holding a bowl of Clam Chowder she made, she was very proud of how good looking the soup was.

"Voilà! Clam Chowder, with freshly harvest potatoes and in manhattan style." Sapphire said as she placed the bowl of Chowder on the table. Lucas grabbed the spoon right beside him and took a spoonful bite of Chowder.

Lucas eyes widen as he keep chewing. "Wow! This is really good!" He said astonished, Yelling loudly the 'good' part. "Where did you learn how to make these?" He asked excitedly, can't believe what he just put in his mouth. Sapphire felt relief for a moment.

"Well.. My mom taught me." She said honestly. "You're mom is SO awesome." Lucas said while there's still food in his mouth. "I think you look good together." Jewel and Annie suddenly interrupt, made Lucas choke on his food and Sapphire eyes wide open.

Gloria, Gabriel and Ronaldo glared at the two made them both gulped. "Look good together as A FRIEND." They diverted, trying to make things clear. "Yeah.." Sapphire said with a disappointed tone but others didn't notice, but why is she disappointed she thought? Asking herself, She's confuse.

Lucas finished the whole soup. "I'm done." He said with a smile, he grabbed his cane and went back in his room. "Oh.. Right hey sapphire." Lucas called. Sapphire hummed in response. "Yep?" Popping the 'p' in the end.

"Thanks for the meal. It's delicious." He said, smiling brightly, sapphire could not stop feeling the butterflies in her stomach as she sees his smile, it so cute she described, sapphire could not let her spirit calm, she just breathe in and breathe out.

"Yeah.. Thanks." She said, Lucas leave them all and went back in his room, Gloria notice the smile sapphire is trying to hide, she also notice this reddish color on her face. "Hmm." Gloria made a loud hum, while looking at Sapphire obviously, sapphire looks at her dumbfounded. "Wut?" She asked.

"Sweetie, are you blushing?" Gloria asked, Sapphire hesitate, shaking her head. "No, it's just really really hot in here." She said, trying to avoid the conversation. "But the windows are open? Its cold and breezy in here." She said. Sapphire shakes her head. "I'm sensitive in temperature.." She lied. "Okay." Gloria said.

Gloria left her and the others. Gloria actually like sapphire a lot, but. Some part of her doesn't trust her a for some reason for Lucas, and Gloria thinks that she will end up breaking his heart, yes indeed she's kind, sweet and caring but. She only knew her for like days, Gloria sometimes doesn't know if she can trust her or not, She does not think sapphire deserve Lucas.

"Honey.." Suddenly Ronaldo out of nowhere surprised her. "You wanna talk? You seems like spaced out?" Ronaldo asked, Gloria nodded, she grabbed his husband's hand and walk to the shore with him.

"Its about who?" Ronaldo asked. "It's about sapphire." She said. "What about sapphire?" Ronaldo asked curious. "It's just.. I think she likes Lucas." Gloria said "So?" Ronaldo asked.

"Isn't that a good thing?"

"No! Ah- yeah- I don't know." Gloria looked at him curious. "So what? I think they look good together." Ronaldo said.

"What? No.. Maybe.. Yes.. But. I don't think Sapphire deserves Lucas." Gloria said truthfully. "Why?" Ronaldo asked. "It's just..." In that moment.. Gloria didn't know what reason, Why sapphire does not deserve Lucas. "I think she will just hurt him, or maybe she's just into Lucas's wealth." She continued.

"Honey.." Ronaldo paused, letting out a loud sigh. "I know that Lucas is like a son to you, to us.. But we just can't control him to like or dislike others, we are here for him.. But were not his parents. He might like sapphire in the future or not, but i think he's just scared.. Sometimes i don't trust the girl, but sometimes i do wanna trust her." Ronaldo stated. "Can't you see? She won't even admit that she likes him, other girls who chase Lucas from before would grab him and throw him into the bed, but i think she's different." Ronaldo continued.

"We sometimes might not wanna trust her, but look at Lucas? He smiles, laugh and even tell stories about his life to her, he's opening to her! we just need to try trusting her, if she lost our trust, at least we knew that she's not a person who we can ever trust." Ronaldo added.

Gloria nodded, and kiss Ronaldo's forehead. "We need to try."
