Because of You (Daniel Seavey x reader)

Distractions

I saw him again, I looked into those devilish eyes again. And then I heard it again,

"See you soon, beautiful." He said in his raspy voice, ending the sentence with a chuckle that never ceased to send chills down my spine. Then I turned around to look at the five boys who saved me but all I could see was that man, it's like they had all turned into him, everyone was him. Everywhere I looked he was there.

*buzz buzz*

I was taken out of my nightmare, thank god that was just a dream. I opened my eyes, giving them a second to adjust to the sunlight in my room before reaching over to my nightstand and grabbing my phone. I looked at it and saw a text from Daniel.

*text between Daniel and y/n*

Daniel: hey y/n, I was just wondering how you were feeling after yesterday?

Y/n: hi Daniel, still a little shaken up but I feel better. Thank you again for saving me

Daniel: it was no problem, no need to keep thanking me and the boys

Y/n: I'm just so grateful that's all

Daniel: well anyway the boys and I were wondering if you wanted to hang out today

Y/n: sure! When and where?

Daniel: around noon, we can meet up at the coffee shop that we met at last night

Y/n: ok, see you then!

Daniel: see you then y/n!

I closed my phone and set it back down on my nightstand. Then I got out of bed, I walked into the kitchen and made myself some breakfast. Once I finished eating I got ready to go meet the boys, then I just rested for a little while. I just scrolled through Instagram for a while, but the only thing I was thinking about was last night and that man. I couldn't get him out of my head. I checked the time, 11:40, I decided to start walking down there. As I walked through the streets of LA, I made the familiar turns that I made last night while I was trying to escape that creep. I started to hear those footsteps again so I turned around but no one was there. I continued on and I swore they picked up again, but still no one. "See you soon, beautiful" rang in my ear as I made my way closer to the café. Once I reached the small shop I walked inside, but this time there were more people. The boys hadn't arrived yet so I sat down at the same table we did last night. As I waited for the boys I scrolled through Instagram again, when I looked up from my phone everyone had suddenly turned into that man again.

Okay, wtf is wrong with me?"

Then like a whisper in my ear I heard, "see you soon, beautiful." I started to shake uncontrollably, I felt tears prick my eyes. That's when I couldn't take it anymore, I had to get out of there. So I stood up and ran out of the café, I didn't get very far because by the time I ran out of there I slumped up against the wall on the front of the café and slid down on it, sitting on the ground. I sat there, head in my knees as I cried, I probably looked crazy. I was so caught up in my emotions that I didn't notice the figures who sat down around me. I felt an arm reach around my shoulders, I jumped slightly before looking up and seeing Daniel, Jonah, Zach, Jack, and Corbyn all sitting on the ground with me.

"Hey, hey what happened? Why are you crying?" Daniel asked, rubbing my arm.

"I-I-" I started to speak but I just couldn't explain it because I didn't fully understand it myself. So I continued to cry and the boys continued to sit there with me, comforting me. God, I was so thankful for them. Once I calmed down I looked back up at the boy, that's when I noticed that I was in Daniel's arms, it was so comforting.

"Y/n, what's going on?" Jack asked me.

"I don't know. I was just sitting in there perfectly fine and then I saw him and I just-" I started to explain.

"Wait! He's here?!" Corbyn asked, tensing up and looking around, the rest of the boys doing the same.

"No, no. Well, he was but I was the only one who saw him. It was like every person turned into him. And all I could hear was his voice. I probably sound crazy right now." I said.

"No you don't." Jonah said.

"What happened after that?" Zach asked.

"I started to freak out so I ran out here to escape him or I guess my thoughts but then, I don't know, I didn't get very far."

"Sounds like you had a panic attack." Daniel said.

I looked up at him, he hadn't moved his arms, he was still holding me.

"Great. Well I don't think I can go back in there." I said.

"And you don't have to." Corbyn said.

"I'm really sorry guys, I probably just ruined our whole hang out." I said.

"No you didn't, what if we go back to our place and watch some movies, you can relax it will be fun." Daniel said.

"That's sounds perfect." I said. The boys all smiled at me. They all stood up, Zach put out his hand for me so I grabbed and he pulled me up.

"You sure you're good?" He whispered to me.

"Yeah, better now that you all are here." I said, causing him to smile. Then we all started towards their car. Once we arrived, Jonah hopped in the drivers seat, Corbyn in the passengers seat, Jack and Zach in the back and me and Daniel in the middle. The whole way there we just talked about random things, I could tell they were trying to get my mind off of the man and last night and everything, which they were doing a pretty good job of but there was still a part of me that was thinking about that. Eventually we arrived at their house, which was massive by the way like what?! Damn, they must be rich.

"Wow are you guys rich or something?" I said as I looked up at the giant house.

All the boys looked at each other, they seemed nervous.

"Hello? Boys?" I asked waving my hand towards them.

"Huh?" They all asked, coming out of their daze.

"Well are we gonna go inside?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, sure come on." I followed them into their house, it was so sick. They led me into their living room. We all sat down on the couch.

"What do you want to watch y/n?" Daniel asked.

"Uh I don't care. Maybe like a musical or something."

"Okay, whats a good one?" Corbyn asked the group.

"Mamma Mia!" Jonah said.

"Yes!" I said getting excited.

"Alright." Daniel said as he grabbed the remote and opened Netflix. He picked 'Mamma Mia' and then sat down next to me.

During the movie we all got up and sang all of the songs. The boys had really nice voices.

"Wait, you guys are really good singers, what the hell." I said.

They all laughed, "thanks."

Then we finished the movie and moved on to 'Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again' I spent the rest of the days watching movies with the boys.
