Because of You (Daniel Seavey x reader)

Perfect

Today's the day. I have my date with Daniel tonight, I'm so excited but so nervous too. And I'm not sure why I mean it's just Daniel, we're friends and I trust him. But still. I have no clue what to wear, I have no clue what we are doing either. Maybe I should just text Daniel.

*Text between Daniel and y/n*
Y/n: Hey Daniel! Just wondering what I should wear tonight?
Daniel: Hey y/n
Well I mean you look good in everything so it doesn't matter *message unsent*
Well I don't want to give away anything but wear something easy going and comfortable
Y/n: ok! See you at 7
Daniel: See you then!
*end of text*

I walked over to my closet and looked for something to wear. I settled on a romper. I started to get ready, doing light makeup and straightening my hair. I finished getting ready at around 5 o'clock. My phone started to buzz so I grabbed and I saw a FaceTime from Corbyn. I answered it and the blonde boy showed up on my screen with Zach, Jack, and Jonah behind him.
"Hey Corbyn." I said, smiling at him.
"Hey y/n." He said.
"HI Y/N!" Zach yelled from behind Corbyn.
I laughed, "hi Zach!" I said.
"Bro you don't need to yell, dang." Corbyn said turning and looking at Zach.
"Hi y/n." Jonah and Jack both said.
"Hi Jo, hi Jack. So, what's up? Why are you guys calling me?" I asked.
"Oh you know, just checking in." Corbyn said.
"Hmm okay sure. Is this about my date with Daniel tonight?" I asked.
"What? No." They all said.
"Guys." I said, sternly.
"Okay, yeah. We are just wondering how you are feeling about it?" Corbyn said.
"Well, I'm really excited. I just finished getting ready."
"Ooo can we see what you are wearing?" Zach asked.
"Yeah." I said as I got up and walked over to my full length mirror. I stood in front of it and turned the camera so the boys could see what I was wearing.
"Looking good y/n." Jonah said.
"Slay, wow." Zach said.
"Is it really good, cuz I didn't know what to wear and-" I started to say.
"Y/n! Stop, you look great." Jack said.
"Thanks." I said turning the camera back around to face me.
"Daniel is really excited." Corbyn said.
"Really?" I said smiling. "He seemed really nervous asking me yesterday. It was cute." I said.
"You have no idea." Jonah said.
"Did you just call him cute?" Corbyn asked.
I blushed, "maybe."
The boys laughed..
"He didn't think you were going to say yes." Jack said.
"And why wouldn't I?" I asked.
"Who knows. Thats what we were talking about when you came downstairs yesterday morning." Zach said.
"Ohhh, that makes so much sense." I said.
The boys nodded.
"Alright, we gotta go y/n. Have fun on your date with Daniel. Call us later when its done, we want to know how it goes."
I laughed, "Okay I will."
"It better go well, I need my ship to sail." Zach said.
I shook my head and laughed, "bye boys."
"Bye y/n!" They all said, waving before hanging up.

|-Time skip-|

It was currently 6:50 and I was waiting for Daniel to come pick me up. I waited a couple more minutes before I heard a knock on my front door. I quickly grabbed my bag before going over to get the door. I opened it and there stood a very nervous looking Daniel holding flowers.
"Hi y/n. You look amazing." Daniel said.
I smiled at him, "thank you. So do you."
Daniel blushed before handing me the flowers, "here, these are for you."
"Thank you Daniel." I said taking them and quickly putting them on my kitchen counter.
"Alright, I'm ready to go." I said.
Daniel smiled and we both walked down to his car. He opened the door for me and I got in, he closed it and then jogged to the drivers side of the car and jumped in.
"So, where are we going?" I asked him as he pulled out of my driveway.
"It's a surprise." He said, stealing a quick glance at me before turning back to the road.
"Okay, I see I see. No hints?"
"No hints." He said shaking his head.
I groaned and he laughed.
As he Daniel drove we talked about random things, eventually we pulled up to the side of a large hill. Daniel got out of the car and came over to my side of the car and opened the door, putting his hand out for me. I grabbed it and got out of the car.
"Damn Seavey, thank god I didn't wear heels." I said looking up at the large hill.
He laughed, "don't worry, its not that bad. I come up here all the time."
"Alright, well I'm starving so there better be food up there." I said.
He laughed again, "of course."
We start to make our way up the hill, Daniel still hasn't let go of my hand since he helped me out of the car, but I didn't mind. Once we made it up the hill Daniel turned towards me.
"See not that bad." He said.
"Yeah, thats why I'm out of breathe." I said laughing and him joining me.
"Okay, now just a little farther." He said tugging on my hand to follow him.
"More walking!" I said. "Jesus."
"Wait!" Daniel said stopping. "You have to cover your eyes."
I gave him a look.
"Please."
"Fine." I said, covering my eyes with my right hand. "Make sure I don't fall."
"Don't worry I won't let you. Now just follow my lead." Daniel said pulling me slightly. I followed him to wherever we were going. Then Daniel stopped causing me to bump into his shoulder because I didn't realize we had reached the spot yet.
"We're here." He said. "You can uncover your eyes now."
I pulled my hand down from my eyes slowly. I looked in front of me and saw a picnic set up on the side of the hill, which looked over LA. It was beautiful, you could see everything.
I turned towards him with a shocked smile on my face. "Wow. You did all of this for me?"
"Well yeah." Daniel said, smiling proudly back at me. "Do you like it?"
"Like it? I love it!" I said hugging Daniel and giving him a kiss on the cheek causing him to blush. I started to walk over to the picnic blanket. I looked around at everything in front of  me before turning back up to face Daniel.
"How?" I asked, still surprised.
"I had a little help from the boys." Daniel said.
"A LITTLE HELP?! EXCUSE YOU!" A voice came from behind the trees next to us.
I turned and saw Zach, Jack, Corbyn, and Jonah come out from where the noise came from. They were all dressed in fancy waiter suits.
"For your information we helped a lot. Including wearing these stupid outfits." Zach said outraged.
"What are you guys doing?" I asked, laughing.
"We're serving you guys." Corbyn said.
"Yeah, we're your waiters." Jack added.
"Dang, okay Daniel you really planned out everything." I said.
"Yep. Now lets eat." He said ushering for me to take a seat on the blanket.
I sat down and Daniel sat next to me. The boys came over with drinks and our food, serving each meal and cleaning up all the dirty plates. After they finished serving us and cleaning up they told us they were leaving. We waved goodbye to the boys and then Daniel and I sat there and looked out over the view. I leaned my head on his shoulder and we continued just sitting there. After a little while I looked up at Daniel, he was already looking down at me and smiling.
"Whatcha looking at?" I asked him.
"You." He said blushing slightly.
I blushed at what he said. "You're cute Seavey."
His smile got wider. I smiled back at him and we just continued to stare back at each other. Then we both started to lean in, we were centimeters away before we stopped, both of us hesitant. I looked into Daniel's eyes one last time before connecting the small space between our lips. Electricity flowed through my body, the kiss was perfect. We pulled away and blushed before smiling back at each other again. Then we both turned to face the view once again, I laid my head back on his shoulder. I had the biggest grin on my face and I could tell Daniel did too.
