Just a Dare.

Chap. 14

I stand there staring at the door. What just happened? May likes Calum? So much she would threaten me over him? I feel some tears running down face. I cant break up with Calum. I can't.  

I decide to talk to someone about it. Who's really close to Calum I ask myself.   

I call Ashton.

" Hey, Beth." he says. 

"Ashton." I say my voice cracking.

"Woah, Beth where are you? What's wrong?" he ask worried.

"I'm at my house." I answer.

" Is anyone else there?" he questions.

"No, I'm all alone." I whisper. 

" I'm on my way."

When Ashton arrives at my house and doesn't even bother to knock. He runs in and walks up to me. I'm on the floor, hugging my legs to my chest, crying. 

"Bethany, what's wrong?" he asks putting his hand on my back.

I tell him as best I can while crying what happened.

"Babe, that sucks." he whispers while rubbing circles in my back.

"I don't know what to do Ashton, I'm so confused."

" You go on this date with Calum, meet his parents, pronounce your love for him, and show this girl your not afraid of her." he says smiling. 

" Wait, who said I loved Calum?" I ask surprised.

"Oh, well I thought it was kind of obvious." he says.

"Really?" I say surprised that EVERYONE could notice I had some feelings for Calum. 

"Yeah but you got to get ready, Calum will be here in a few." he says. 

" Ashton?" I say.

"Hmm?" he says. 

" Can you not tell anyone about the whole May likes Calum and I may love him thing?" I ask crossing my fingers.  

" It will be our secret." he says giving a friendly peck on the cheek. 

I smile as he walks out of the door and decide that I will go on this date and not be afraid of May.

I check myself in the mirror one last time. I hope I look okay. I'm wearing a rose gold dress that has sequins at the top then flares out a little at the bottom. For shoes I put on a pair of nude heels. My hair is wavy/curly and I put on a little more makeup than usual. 

 I hear a knock on my front door and I open it to see Calum standing there in a suit. Woah. He looked amazing.  

"Wow, Beth you look.... stunning." he says taking my hand.

Even thoough I have heels on I'm still a few inches shorter than him. I look around for any signs of May. 

None. 

That's good. Calum looks at me and smiles and I decide not to worry tonight. I have Calum. I make myself promise I will have a good time.
