Internship Competition (8)

When Peter saw the shocked faces, he looked down and slowly made his way to the front table.
He saw everyone looking at him but saw Wanda and Pietro giving him over-exaggerated happy faces and things up from the back and couldn't help but relaxing.
Karen hopped off his shoulders and lay on the far left edge of the table. He took a deep breath and started speaking.
"So, for my project, I built an interactive stealth drone, of sorts. She is essentially able to get in and out of any building and is silent. She's also really friendly." With that, he couple tapped on his charm and he heard gasps as Honey slowly formed and started flying round his head until eventually landing on his outstretched finger.
"Okay, Honey, Reconnaisance Mode." Honey suddenly went silent and flew up before completely disappearing.
At this point, Peter had brought out his laptop and turned it to everyone. It showed a clear image of the interns and students before getting right in front of Flash.
Flash tried to grab her but as soon as his hand hit where she had been, she was already back by Peter.
She became visible again and landed on Peters finger.
"She's able to pull up information from any legal database in order to find out who they are." He turned everyone's attention to the laptop again where a file on Eugene 'Flash Thompson was on the screen.
"She's also bullet proof and can follow most commands you give her. She's also bullet proof and good company. Honey, time to recharge." He said and Honey reverted back to her charm.
Peter looked up to see shocked looks on everyone's faces. Why was everyone adopting that look lately? It's not that impressive.
There was silence until Tony spoke.
"Well, I must say, I'm impressed. And I don't get impressed often. Now, what going on with the toy robot?" He said it in a joking manner. However, he probably didn't expect Karen to answer.
"YOU ROBOT?!?!" Karen hissed and launched herself at the great Iron Man. Peter, luckily for Tony, intercepted and caught her while she continuously hissed and tried to scratch him.
"Okay, Karen! That's enough!" He strained. Karen was way stronger than he looked.
She calmed down but still glared at the Stark while settling back on her creators shoulders.
"Okay, so this is Karen. She's my A.I and is also offended being called a toy." Karen gave a snort and turned away, head held high.
"Got it, feline is touchy." Karen hissed again, this time showing her overly- sharp fangs. (Karen is a Queen)
Peter gathered up his things and went to sit down until he heard a voice shout out from the crowd.
"You're the kid who solved our equation!" Then one of the head scientists spoke.
"You were the one that fixed our problem!" Next Bruce spoke up.
"You're the kid that solved the 'impossible qustion'." Then, from seemingly out of nowhere, Thor and Steve stepped in.
"You are the one who picked up Mjolnir." Steve said. Then Thor added
"You are the future ruler of Asgaurd!"
Then Clint jumped down from the ceiling and pointed an accusing finger at Peter.
"Your the kid that broke my nose!" Sure enough, he had a bandage-thing over his nose.
"Sorry." Peter squeezed out. At this point, Tony was getting confused.
"Wait, wait, wait." So you mean to tell me, that this kid: solved the new equation for the interns; fixed a problem that my to scientists couldn't;  solved one of our 'impossible questions'; made his own A.I; built a reconnaisance drone is less than twenty four hours; picked up a hammer that no one but Thor has ever picked up; and also destroyed Birdbrains nose?" He had turned to each person in question, gaining nods and an offended 'Hey' from Clint.
He turned to Peter with raised brows before sticking back on his sunglasses and giving a smirk.
"Kid, your hired. You'll be my new personal intern and I'm expecting you to be here on Saturday morning. I'll have Happy pick you up. For now, I'll give you a quick tour. Can i borrow him? Yeah, I'm borrowing him." Tony threw an arm over Peter and walked him out, leaving behind shocked students, employees, and Avengers behind.

Pepper was not easily surprised. She had a super hero and genius as a fiance and it took a lot to shock her.
She had to admit though, when her future husband walked into the living area with a teenager under his arm, talking about how the teen would love working here, she was thrown off.
Tony was not fond of children or teens, said they were annoying and only thought of themselves.
Oh well, she had a feeling she was going to get to know the teen eventually so she just let him drag him off down the corridor.

Over the course of a month, Peter became part of the Avengers weird and quirky family.
When he found out that Natalie was actually Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow and that Wanda and Pietro were Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver he completely freaked out.
Now though, he would spend hours in the lab with Tony and Bruce, laughing when things would explode in the billionaires face.
He would amaze interns and employees with his mind and creative solutions and gained respect throughout the Tower.
Pepper was teaching him how to be the future CEO of Stark Industries and also helped him with any advice he needed.
He would practice cooking with Steve and Bucky, whom he had met later after the competition, and could now cook better than the super soldier.
Thor quickly taught him how to use Mjolnir in case of emergency. Tony, However, refused that Peter would be kidnapped to become King of Asgaurd.
Clint showed him the best hideouts throughout the Tower as well as how to shoot.
Natasha taught him how to speak Russian and could now have conversations with her, scaring everyone else when she showed him how to throw knives and he had perfect aim.
Wanda and Pietro just hung out with him and they just did a ton of pranks and random shit.
All in all, nothing Peter had ever expected to come out of a field trip but as he looked around the room at the Avengers all laughing at the movie that they were watching, he realised that he could get used to this and would have it no other way.
Now, all he had to do was tell them that he was Spiderman...

Now, when Rhodey got back from his mission, what he hadn't expected was a kid to be waiting for the elevator, head in a book.
Rhodey walked out of the elevator as the teen walked in, and stared as the door closed.
He walked into the main living area to see the team was all spread across the couches and chairs. Then he saw his best friend and walked up to him.
"Uh, Tones, who was that kid?"
