The class was once again led to the elevator. It opened on a floor that barely anyone came to.
There was a large sitting area with a massive TV as well as a large circular table.
"So here is a floor dedicated purely to overnight tour groups. Each of you will have a room. However, as the all toilets are under construction, due to recent events, you will be led to another level. Showers are still available in your rooms, however all toilets have been taken out. Meet me back here at 6 o'clock." Susanna said, having a knowing look when she said of recent events.
Everybody was given their room number and a key card. While Peter walked towards his room, he heard gasps and excited shouts from behind him as others entered their rooms.
He found his room at the end of the corridor, isolated from everywhere else and hidden round the corner.
'No surprise there.'
When he entered, he now understood why everyone sounded so excited. The room was huge, had a king sized bed, a TV, a computer, a work station, a wardrobe and a couch right by the window.
The window covered the entire wall, floor to ceiling, and gave him an amazing view of New York.
As he was admiring all this, he heard a knock on the door. As he opened it to see Susanna there.
"Hi! Sorry to disturb You, but I just wanted to say that can I ask you not to talk about or let anyone in to your room? This room is better than the others and I don't want any arguments. This one isn't normally used but there was one extra person and you were the one. Okay? Thank you!" And with that she disappeared round the hall.
Peter just shrugged his shoulders and closed his door. He opened his backpack and Karen came padding out, her tail slightly waving side to side.
"Hey Karen."
"Hey Peter. This your room?" Karen asked, looking around.
"Yeah. Can you scan for any cameras?" He saw Karen do a complete scan of the room before stopping to stare at the wardrobe.
"There is a camera in the corner by the wardrobe. I would suggest just sticking your bag on top to cover it." With that, she walked over to the desk and started looking at the computer.
Peter quickly got out all he needed, leaving his sleeping bag inside after realising he didn't need it. He then put it on top of the wardrobe, ultimately blocking the camera from looking and seeing Karen.
He looked at his watch and saw it was only 5:00 so he decided to do some tinkering.
"Hey Karen? Do you think it would be a good idea to build trackers? Or maybe also little drones?" Karen perked from where she was curled up from the bed.
"For once, you actually had a good idea." Peter just gave her a blank stare before turning to the work station.
In the hour that he had, he built six minituare spider drones that could store audio and visual for when he had to get information.
He also started planning the design for his trackers before realising he had five minutes before he had to be back in the main room.
"Okay Karen, I'll see you later." Karen flicked her tail in acknowledgement and he rolled his eyes at his lazy A.I.
As he got there, he realised that nearly everyone was already there and they were all talking excitedly about their room.
They said how the queen sized bed was really soft and that the computers were really high tech. He also heard some of them saying they wished there were windows.
'Huh. Susanna wasn't joking when she said mine was better.'
He silently joined the group at the back and noticed that instead of Susanna, there was a lean girl with glasses and bright blonde hair. She looked mildly pissed off and was just typing on her phone before turning it off.
"Alright, listen up! My name is Evie and I'm taking over for Susanna. She had to go home and now I'm unfortunately stuck with you for the rest of the night. We will be having pizza and it'll be here in a sec." Flash, being the entitled brat he is, wasn't happy.
"Why do we have to have pizza? Can't we get something better?" Evie gave him a blank look.
"Dude, you are staying over night in Avengers Tower and getting everything for free, and you are complaining about food choice? Deal with it and shut up."
"I-I'll get you fired!" Evie just turned as the elavator dinged.
"Try me, bitch." As the elevator opened, a girl with pale skin and pure white hair jumped out with tons of piled boxes.
"I BROUGHT THE PIZZA!!!" She screamed, and all the class cheered while Flash grumbled. Evie rolled her eyes at the other girls dramatics.
After they ate, they watched A Quiet Place.
Since Peters Spidey-Sense gave a slight ping before the big scares, he just watched everyone scream and silently laughed.
Soon enough, it was eight thirty and they were told to just be in their own rooms by ten and to be sure to get some sleep.
As Peter entered his room, he watched Karen's eyes watching him. He flopped onto the bed beside her and threw his arm over his eyes, feeling Karen's gaze still on him.
"Karen, what is it? I can literally feel you staring."
"Sorry-"
"No you're not."
"- but I was wondering if you were going out tonight?" He knew what she was implying, and he wasn't sure himself.
On one hand, he should be going out on patrol every night. On the other, he knew the Avengers were searching for Spiderman, and he didn't know why.
"No, it's too big a risk. If I was to try and leave, F.R.I.D.A.Y would alert someone." Karen just nodded her head in acceptance.
God, how did he deserve her? For all the sass and sarcasm she displayed, she cared. More than some people he knew.
He decided to check on E.L and she said that she was nearly done downloading all the files. After, he built his trackers, all six. By this time, it was now eleven fifteen.
He needed the toilet.
He slowly opened his door and heard complete silence throughout the hallway.
He extended his hearing, glad to hear that he could only hear snores and incoherent sleep talking.
He quietly crept through to the main area and realised he had no idea where he was going.
"Um, excuse me? F.R.I.D.A.Y?" Honestly, he wasn't sure whether he was expecting a reply or not, even though he got one earlier, but was mildly surprised when he got one.
"Yes, Peter?" Her voice sounded warm, not like Karen, but less robotic.
Also slightly amused.
"Do you know where I'm meant to go to the toilet?"
"Yes, please enter the elevator and I will guide you to the floor."
"Thanks F.R.I.D.A.Y!"
"You're most welcome Peter."
Peter did as he was told and was soon stepping out onto a different floor.
There were small lights illuminated and he followed the trail to the toilets. After he finished, he was walking back the way he came when he heard shuffling in the vents.
He was almost at the elevator when he heard someone land behind him with a small thud and, without thinking, turned around and punched said person in the face.
"Agh!" The person landed on their back, gripping their nose. That was when Peter noticed his supposed attacker, was fuckin Hawkeye.
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry Mr Hawkey sir! I-I didn't know it was you and just reacted on instinct and-"
"Kid it's fine. What are you doing up here anyways?" His voice was slightly muffled by his hand.
"I'm on a field trip and the toilets are broken. F.R.I.D.A.Y led me up here."
"F.R.I.D.A.Y?" Hawkeye asked, looking up at the ceiling.
"What Peter said is true, Mr Barton. Now I must insist that he goes back to bed so he can rest." Peters eyes widened as he remembered that he wasn't on his own floor.
"Sorry again Mr Hawkeye Sir!" Peter called over his shoulder, rushing to the elevator and F.R.I.D.A.Y quickly shut the door.
Clint was, unsurprisingly, shocked. Not only had this boy heard him land behind him and socked him in the nose, but he also had F.R.I.D.A.Y calling him by name.
As he walked towards med-bay, he only had one thought on his mind.
Who was that kid?Aaand that was part 4. Part 5 will hopefully come out soon and I'm sorry for the infrequent updates. Anway, hope you enjoyed.
Until the next update.
Later xxx.
