~*~Chapter Two~*~

I sat down. "How?" I asked, "How is this possible?"

Daniel shook his head, "It's nothing like the last time, when we discovered the Romans."

"We're aware," Rahual said.

"But the Eygptians don't-!" Amelia began, only to be cut off by Daniel.

"They obviously do, if Ocean is here."

Rahual looked at Daniel as he said Ocean. "Ocean? Ocean Deyraw?"

Daniel nodded.

"She goes to our school," Rahual said, looking at me.

"Yeah," I said, "She's in my grade."

Amelia stood up and began walking towards the door, "We need help," she said, "And Chiron can do that for us."

"Mia, we're stronger than Chiron. Immortal? Remember."

She frowned, "Yeah, but he is, too."

"Only as long as demigods need help. That's not immortal, that's a promise and a swear."

She trailed back ver to the table and sat down, "Fine, then. But I don't see how two mind reader know it all's and a few other gods are going to help." We could here the thunder rumble outside, "And obviously, Zeus wont be much help." Lightning flashed and rain poured on the camp.

"What the-?"

"Who knows? Maybe Zeus disagrees with Amelia."

"Maybe."

Ocean looked up as I opened the door to the big house.

"Hanna?" she looked at me for a second, "Why are you-?"

"She'll explain later," Daniel said in a rushed voice. He led me towards the staircase and we ran up it, shouting, "Chiron! We need you!"

We reached the top of the stairs and Chiron came around the corner. "Is it about Ocean?" he asked in a hushed tone.

We nodded.

"What will we do? Zeus most likely wants the child dead."

"We know. It's raining outside," I said.

"But Amelia's comment-," Daniel looked at me.

"No, Zeus is Amelia's dad. I don't think he'd turn another one of his kids into a tree."

"Children, quiet. I must tell you, he wouldn't mind if it was Ra."

I gave Chiron a questioning look, "He knows Ra?"

"Yes, before he left."

"And?" I urged.

The power suddenly went out and lightning lit up the hallway.

"And," he said, "Zeus has a rivalry with Set."

"You mean the evil-ish one?" I asked.

He nodded, "Yes."

"Let me take a wild guess," Daniel said, "Her father is Set."

"That shouldn't bug Zeus, though. She wouldn't interfear, and if she did, it still wouldn't matter."

"Daniel, you are correct," Chiron said, "But Hanna, you have it wrong. You are right about how it shouldn't bug Zeus, but he has a reason."

"What is it?" Daniel and I asked at the same time.

"Ocean's mother is Hera."
