Danny POV

"So how's life treating you?" Taylor asked me as I twirled a pen between my fingers.

"How has life been? Let's see between Emily and her pregnancy hormones and her weird sleep schedule she's developed I have to camp out in my office most of the time. I love her but damn she needs to just have the twins already! Collin seems to be adjusting to his new school and for that I'm glad things are working out." I tell him and all he did was smile and shake his head.

"So life is basically going good?" He asked me and I just smiled and nodded my head.

The thing is life is going well, for now. I feel like things are moving forward on a positive note.

"The thing is Collin is more determined to be top of the class in the new school. I'm not sure if he's trying to prove to us, his classmates, or even himself that he belongs in that school. I just hope he enjoys life while he can still goof off." I tell Taylor as I start thumb through the documents on my desk.

"Dan, you need to stop worrying so much and just be happy that he is happy. The reason why is not important. Just let him adjust to life at the new school, it's been almost a month but some people take longer and who knows maybe a cute girl caught his attention and hes trying to impress her." He tells me as he places another folder on my desk.

"Yeah, that could be it." I say as I start to really focus on my work.

Just as I am about to start reading a report I hear Taylor's voice. "Or he is just a nerd and wants good grades." He tells me while laughing.

I look up and just ask him "What's so funny?"

"Daniel, imagine Emily right now and think about how she is, and well she was most probably a teacher's pet in high school. Now look who raised Collin, and well do you see where I going with this?" He asked me.

"So what? I don't understand how that's so damn funny?"

"Okay, well let me put it this way if Collin follows Emily's image you'll be living with two Emily's and also she'll always win because Collin will start thinking like her. Oh let's not forget soon you'll have two kids and if already two people think alike can you image how those kids will turn out? Yeah you'll have to argue against not one Emily but now four because you're screwed."

In Taylor's confusing and mouthful explanation he is right. I need to make sure Emily doesn't turn Collin into her little clone. I need to persevere what little authority and manliness I have in that house. God knows I lost when it comes to my childhood home, I shall make Collin a cool guy that all the girls want to be with and not some nerdy little wimp that Emily will baby forever.

"Taylor you're right! I must save Collin from his sister!" I shout as I quickly stand up with a determined attitude.

"But first you need to finish your work." He says and I nod my head at him as I sit back down quietly and go back to working.

As I was working I would occasionally look up and see Taylor playing on what inthinknis a gameboy.

He was kinda funny looking with all the facial expressions that he would express especially when I'm assuming he was winning the game.

Watching him play brought back memories of when we were kids and that was how we spent our days. When I look at my life now its just how I've always imagined but with some extra surprises. I knew I was going to be head of the company, I was groomed for this job since the day I was born. I knew college was the path I was suppose to take.

I knew I was going to get married but as I grew up and realized that most people wanted to see me fail and use me for their personal gain that dream was not so clear, but it happened and I found the most wonderful girl in the world. I neve thought I would gain a little brother or even become a dad so soon. I wouldn't change a thing expect for maybe slowing down and enjoying life as I was growing up like Taylor instead of being a prude and pleasing my strict father.
