Dear readers,

I know I said two weeks but really it's been way longer than that and the reason is because I was helping my friend who was entering a writing contest. I was contributing by co-writing some of one the characters parts and I was also helping her edit and make final changes before she submitted it.

I am truly sorry. I am sorry for the wait and not updating y'all on how the chapter won't be out in thr time limit I said.

Anyway, thank you for reading and thank you for the support! I'm so lucky to have y'all and I appreciate all the support, encouragement, and love!

Now back to the real story!

Danny POV

"Danny, do think we can get him in?"

I look at Emily and just nod my head. "Yeah, I'm sure we can. My entire family, including myself, went to this school so my name is good. We have the money to pay upfront if that's what they want. Collin's academic record should be enough and if all else fails he can apply for scholarship and let the board decide with no prejudice or bias opinion on who he is associated with.

"I hope this all works out." She quietly said as we sat in the waiting area.

"Sir, the dean will see you both now." The secretary said.

We walk in the Dean's office and it's like stepping back in time. The place hasn't change since the day I first started at this school. I see the dean sitting there and he hasn't change one bit after all these years.

The dean stands up and shakes my hand before sorting back down behind his desk. "Ah, Daniel welcome, now how can I help you and your lovely wife."

"Well, you see we are hear ti talk about enrolling a student as soon as possible into Black Lake Academy." I tell him as the businessman in me comes out.

I told Emily to sit down and not talk to much, there's nothing against her its just I know how to handle people like the dean. The academy wants just the best of the best, whether it's from wealth, prestigious name, or academics. They want to only boost the school image and want nothing to do with troublemakers or troubled children. Unfortunately Collin is a troubled child in the eyes of the world.

If Emily would speak, the dean would somehow turn the conversation around and start digging for answers into her past and Collin's past, but more importantly the main reason why we want to transfer him now and as soon as possible insteading of waiting till the new year.

I also don't want her to get to emotional on this subject. Emily's mood swings are getting worst and I'm just afraid if she starts talking and the dean hits a nerve she'll do more damage than good, and the goal is to get Collin into this school.

The dean looked at me with a curious look on his face. "Qhat is the student's name?" He asked as he shuffled files on his desk.

"Collin Lockett"

"Ah, yes here's his file." He said as flipped open the file. He flipped through the pages before looking up at us. "His academic record is very impressive. May I ask why the sudden need for him to transfer to Black Lake Academy, and what the relationship this student is to you?"

If I was to say the need for his transfer is because he is being bullied that's an automatic mark against him. No trouble makers are welcomed, and no kids who are troubled are welcomed. I have to word this very carefully, so I don't ruin Collin's chance to get into the school.
