"That's twenty four," You heard Goblin Slayer count as he sliced, yet another goblin, in two. "Jeez, how many more are there?" you mumbled to yourself. You began to approach a goblin, splayed out on the cold cave flooring, attempting to escape the unforgiving mercy of your blade.

"It's a little late for you, buddy," you said with your katana severing its head from its little green body. "Guess that's twenty five, then." In your opinion, you felt that counting how many kills you collected was a bit cliché, though you went with it nonetheless.

An entire lifespan seemed to fly by once you've finally reached your sixty fifth goblin. You huffed erratically, wiping away the remnants of sweat above your brow. Your limbs seemed to only have a drop of strength residing within them. "Ugh, I feel like weights are attached to my arms and legs," you breathed out. "Do not worry, miss. I feel that we are nearing the end of this cave," Lizard Priest said boldly. "Thank the gods. But before we move on, I need a quick break."

You dropped your sore body against the cave wall. Your party gazed at you warily. "You look so exhausted. Will you be alright?" asked a worrisome Priestess. "I'll be alright. I just feel a bit dizzy is all. Does anyone have any water?" Dwarf Shaman began to rummage through his knapsack and pulled out an odd shaped container. "I wouldn't necessarily consider this to be what you were hoping for, but I think it will help quench your thirst a little," he said as he offered the jug to you. "Thank you."

You gulped down the cool fluid, only for it to be spat right back out. "What the hell is this?!" The burning liquid subsided deep in your throat, causing to cough uncontrollably with teary eyes. "Uh oh. That might've been my fire wine," he sweat dropped. "Oh look what you did, you damn idiot! That just worsened things!" Elf Archer scorned.

You suddenly felt a strong wave of nausea hit you as the two party members bickered. "Oh crap," you said hoarsely before cupping your mouth. Goblin Slayer knelt down in front of your cradled form and patted your back in a soothing manner. "We can continue to wait as long as you want until you feel a bit bett-" you suddenly cut the armored male's words off. "No. I-I want to get out here as soon as possible. Let's just leave," you pleaded.

He sighed after a brief moment and arched his back to you with his arms at his sides. "Um... what are you doing?" you asked. "Since I am guessing your too nauseous to stand, this will probably help us move at a faster pace." Your pale cheeks warmed in realization. "Are- are you sure? I'm a little heavy." His head motioned to the side. "We'll see about that. Just get on."

You inhaled and hesitantly crawled on his iron plated back. Goblin Slayer adjusted you to a more comfortable position and headed in the direction of the cave exit. Your party members soon followed. His back reeked of soot and rust, though you kind of liked the smell. "You know," you mumbled from behind where his ear would be, "you should clean your armor more often."
"Sorry," was his reply. You shook your head and buried you face in his shoulder blade. "No. I like it."

You felt his arms tense at your touch, "You should get some rest while you still can. The carriage ride back home might be rough."
'He sounds uncomfortable. Did I do something?' you asked yourself. As if on queue, your eyelids began to feel heavier. Soon enough, you were completely swallowed whole by an ocean of dreams.

Sometime Later

The familiar aroma of primroses dragged your senses to full consciousness. You yawned with closed eyes. You must've slept through the entire carriage ride and you imagined Goblin Slayer brought you home. "Slept well?" Your eyelids jolted apart in response. Mere inches from your body, Goblin Slayer lied still. His ruby tinted irises enchanted your very soul.

"Why are you...in my bed?" You attempted to appear intimidating, yet only mumbled words left your lips. "You must've forgotten. I placed you in your bed once we'd gotten back, but you stopped me and told me to stay with you." You studied his jaw-dropping appearance as he spoke. His skin was pale, most likely because it was always hidden from the sun, and several scars were dreaded across his cheekbones and jaw. His ashy silver locks were disorganized in such an attractive way, and to put it all together, his groggy voice was like tasting candy for the very first time.

You felt yourself become even more flustered. Never had you ever imagined you would be in the same bed as someone so handsome. "You're beautiful..." you whispered. Shit. You stayed there, utterly motionless, for you feared the outcome of even breathing. Goblin Slayer started to chuckle lightly. That was the very first time you had ever heard such a sound come out of him, and you would treasure it forever.

"I'm glad you think so. I've never showed my face to someone and be called 'beautiful.'" You huffed with rosy cheeks and faced the other side of your bed. "W-well you are! It's just a fact." You suddenly felt two sturdy arms engulf your body and pull you into that of a brick wall. You felt the indentions of his steel abs against your back. "Well in my opinion, I think you are most extravagant. I've been wanting to say that for years now."

You wanted to squeal at his compliment. You were thankful he couldn't see your face. Why was he being so flirtatious all of a sudden? You definitely weren't expecting such a romantic gesture from him. "So... are we...like some sort of couple now?" you asked. You heart pitter-patted against your chest so harshly, you felt as if you were about to explode.

The said man hmned' against your messy hair. "Yes. I would like that very much. That is, if you'll have me," he said a bit nervously. You'd finally summoned enough courage and turned over to face those heart piercing eyes. "Yes, I'll have you." He gave you a relieved smile and drew you closer. "We're not getting up?"
Goblin Slayer shook his head. "I just want to rest for now, if that's alright with you?" you grinned while nodding your head.

"I suppose a nice day of relaxing would be nice."
