"You want to spar with me?" you asked as if the burly male's words were unreal. "Well, yes. I feel like training will be beneficial to our next quest."

You suddenly felt flattered by Goblin Slayer's request. "Um-sure! I'd love to spar with you. Just tell me when you want to-"
"Hey! How come she gets to spar with you and we don't? " The elf barked, "She's not even an official member of our party!" You held your tongue, trying to maintain your manners when Slayer turned to glare at her menacingly. Her face grew pale and quickly tuned in on the rest of the party's conversation, leaving the two of you in peace once more.

You awoke the next morning feeling restless. You agreed to join Goblin Slayer at the training grounds once the sun reached the peak of the mountains. It was not long before then.

You were quite nervous, after all, you did have mixed feelings for the goblin obsessed man.

For your outfit, you chose your normal, everyday light armor with the same knee-high boots.
Goblin Slayer mentioned for you to not bring your weapons with you, for you were going to use wooden swords instead.

You adjusted your gear to where it was suitable while mentally preparing yourself for the day. You smiled to yourself as you checked to see if everything was in place before heading out the door.

Unsurprisingly, there was a small crowd of adventurers waiting for your arrival. Several Porcelains gawked at you in awe while your fellow Silver ranks simply smirked to themselves. You knew they were only there to gloat and make the same frivolous remarks. Though some merely wanted to observe the battle that was about to take hold.

Off to the side of the area stood your mighty opponent. He seemed in a slight daze until he heard your footsteps approaching. "I hope I didn't make you wait too long, " you called out to him. He shook his head as he made his way over to you. "I happened to just arrive, myself. " You breathed a sigh of relief.

"Here, you'll need this." Goblin Slayer tossed a wooden carved double-edged sword to you. You thanked him while examining its durability. It seemed sufficient enough for training, but if it were anything serious, it would be sure to break in half.

You both withdrew from one another to gain enough space. You were normally accustomed to dual-wielding but fighting with one sword had to suffice. You readied your stances, waiting for the time to strike.

Goblin Slayer began to count down from 10.
You took a brief moment to sharpen your senses. "8...7..., " Your eyesight was focused entirely on the man in front of you. You listened intently through the adrenaline-flooded air. "4...3..., " The wind blew steadily, shaking the underbrush. Your breathing steadied and your heart pace stayed in tempo. "2..., " Your body felt as if it was an arrow about to be released from a drawn bow. "1! "
And like that arrow, you shot forward, driving any hesitation from your thoughts.

You felt vibration travel through your wooden weapon as you came into contact with the well-built male. He was indeed strong. His driving force nearly sent you backward, though you felt like he was holding an ample amount of strength back. You meticulously blocked each and every attack he threw your way. Standing your ground was the difficult part.

Slayer charged towards you once more. He quickly raised his sword above his head and collided it into yours. The two fake blades fought for dominance. You growled in pain, trying to ignore the uncomfortable popping in your wrist.

'No! Not yet! I can't lose now!' Disappointed, you drew back from the fight and dropped your sword. "Haha, looks like you win this one, Goblin Slayer. You're too strong for me, " you laughed, discarding the throbbing pain in your wrist. Suddenly, he strode over to you and gripped your arm, dragging you along with him.

"Hey! Where are you taking me?" He stayed silent until you reached the back of a fairly small sized building. "Wait here, " he spoke gruffly before leaving you standing there confused.

He came back with an odd looking item in his gloved hand. "What's tha-aAh!" He placed it over your wrist before you could finish. "It's ice wrapped in cloth, " he informed, " it reduces swelling."
You soon began to enjoy the soothing numbness the cloth granted you.

Goblin Slayer knelt to his knees and caressed your hand. "Good. It's only sprained." You felt your cheeks grow hot from his touch. At that moment, it was as if he was treating you like the most delicate thing in the world.

"You don't have to do this, you know, " you mumbled softly. You were embarrassed enough for even being in this situation. "But I'm the reason you are injured. I should have held back, but I didn't. I am deeply sorry." You frowned sadly at his words, "So please, punish me however you see fit." his shoulders were hunched submissively and his head was directed to the ground.
Never in your days have you ever seen such a headstrong person act so vulnerable towards you. His demeanor changed to that of a young child being disciplined by his mother.

You sighed and bent down to his level. Your lips lightly touched the cold, battered steel of his helm; Or where his forehead would be, that is. He stiffened slightly, still facing your feet. You pulled away with your face pigmented ruby red.

"There, that is you're punishment, " you uttered weakly. You cringed harshly at your cheesy confession. Gods above, you just wanted to run as far as you were able and climb down the deepest hole.

"Heheh, thank you so much for helping me with my wrist and I apologize for being such a bother but we should spar together more often but anyway I should really get going-"
You felt a pair of incredibly strong arms engulf your body. Goblin Slayer was embracing you. Why was he embracing you?

"I have feelings for you; you know that, right?" he questioned softly. You felt your heart hammer against your chest. "I...I feel the same." The man heaved a large sigh of relief and held you tighter. "Please. Just a little longer," he pleaded. You smiled and relaxed under his touch, inhaling his rustic scent.

So here's this cheesy mess of a story which took me over a week to type up. You're welcome.
