Casual Revelation (Jyrus)

Cyrus accidentally comes out during a conversation with Jonah, leading to friendly reassurance.

It was one of those moments that Cyrus wished he could erase from his memory. He had finally cracked and made a fool out of himself in front of Jonah. His mind told him that he could never talk to Jonah again.

*Flashback*

Cyrus was sat down next to Jonah and the girls. They were having a pleasant enough conversation about all the usual things.

Jonah: I'm so excited about the next game of ultimate.

Cyrus: I am too, you'll be great.

Jonah: With you in my corner, I know it'll be good Cyrus.

Cyrus: Anything for you, dear Jonah.

Andi: Cool it with the flirting already!

Buffy: I wouldn't call it flirting.

Jonah, being oblivious, had no idea what to think and didn't realise the full meaning of what they were saying.

Jonah: Flirting?

Cyrus: Well, that's what happens when you like someone. You must know I'm gay and love with---

Cyrus quickly stopped what he was saying, going completely red before running off and finding somewhere he could cry in peace. 

*End of Flashback*

Cyrus couldn't live with what had happened. He didn't know exactly how Jonah would react and in all honesty, he didn't really want to know.

Meanwhile, when Cyrus ran off, Jonah was speechless. He wanted to stop Cyrus and find out more, but he couldn't find the words.

Andi and Buffy knew how much Cyrus had struggled with his feelings. They wanted to try and help him by getting the boys to talk.

They literally dragged Jonah as they looked for Cyrus. When they found him, he was wailing. His sobbing was so loud.

Andi: Cyrus, don't cry.

Buffy: Everything is okay.

Cyrus: N-no it w-won't! I wasn't ready for Jonah to know.

As Cyrus spoke, Jonah finally realised just how big a deal it was for Cyrus. He didn't want his friend to be sad anymore.

Jonah: But why Cyrus?

Cyrus: Because I thought you would hate me.

Jonah: I would never hate you for being gay.

Cyrus: But it's more than that.

Jonah: In what way?

Cyrus: In case you didn't work out what I was going to say earlier, I am in love with you.

Despite what Cyrus thought, Jonah had already worked that out. He would be lying if he said he was angry.

Jonah: I figured that out.

Cyrus: I'm sorry!

Jonah: Hey! You've nothing to be sorry for, understand?!

Cyrus: Y-yes JoJo.

Jonah: Good Cy-guy.

The boys hugged, not a normal friendly hug, but one that lasted for a few minutes. Cyrus cried on Jonah's shoulder, wetting his shirt. Andi and Buffy were going to try and make it as easy for them as possible.

Andi: Cyrus, I told you Jonah would be cool with it.

Buffy: You don't need to hide.

Cyrus: I just can't handle losing him.

Jonah: Aww, you should already know that will never happen.

Cyrus: Why?

Jonah: You are so special to me Cyrus. Nothing can explain just how important you are.

Cyrus: Thanks Jonah, you're so special too.

Jonah: So what do you say, we hang out later.

It was beginning to look more positive for Cyrus, who saw that Jonah was being everything he could ever ask for.

Cyrus: I'd like that.

Jonah: Consider it a date.

Cyrus: A-a date?

Jonah: Sure, I think you are incredible and I don't want to miss this opportunity.

Cyrus: I'd love to.

Throwing an arm around Cyrus, Jonah knew that it would be okay and he was going to ensure Cyrus never felt upset again.
