"Momma..." A little girl with chocolate brown hair began to bug her mother. Her tiny, chubby hands grabbed onto her mother's shirt, tugging it down. Her caramel eyes stared hopelessly to her mother, who was crying. "Momma... what's wrong?"
The man in white sighed, trying to explain to her mother how he doesn't know the daughter's condition. "I'm sorry..." Was all he could say to the crying mother.
The daughter -who had no idea about what was happening- grabbed her mother's hand. The mother than flinched and stared with horror. "Momma... can we have ice cream now?"
"Y-Yes... go wait outside for me. Momma has to talk to the doctor." The girl then nods, walking outside. But she stops in her tracks as she heard her name. "You're sure that you don't know what's wrong with Hanji?"
"I'm afraid so. It's unlike any other condition, Mrs. Zoe."
"I... no..." More crying was heard. "Could we try to cure it?"
"I'm afraid we cannot do anything about it until we know what this is. Right now, it seems to be affected her mindset, but nothing else. She can act like a normal child, but I doubt she could be truly friends with one. From what I can tell, she's a sociopath... but not dangerous. I need to have her do some regular checkups from time to time to see if it gets worse."
"My daughter is not one of those.... those... sociopaths! I know there's my little girl in there..."
"I understand your grief... the good news about it... it seems she has no violent tenancies."
"Is that good?"
"Of course. But like I said, she needs regular checkups in case if we find something there that we didn't see before."
"Thank you, doctor."

"A monster..." I say under my breath as I completed my science homework. "Of course. That's why Mom left me alone here... why Dad left me alone when he found out... I was a monster."
"No one is truly a monster unless they do something nefarious for society to label them as a monster."
Looking up, I gasp as I saw someone who was staring me down with a cold stare. His icy, cold gray eyes were... stormy? That's funny... I never knew how detailed I could be... his sneer portrayed dominance and struck fear into people.
"What happened when people began to label you as a monster?" He asks, sitting next to me. Even when he was sitting down... I saw how short he would be. "Trust me, I experienced worse."
Shrugging, I simply sighed. I couldn't tell a stranger about how I could really be an emotionless person with a messed up head. Lately, I was invested in crime shows and saw how bloody they were. Honestly, there was nothing to explain who or what I truly was inside. People may see me as an innocent girl... but truly, I'm nothing inside.
"Oi... talk to me. You're not a monster unless you accept that fact."
"I do accept that fact; I am a monster." My textbook slammed shut as I answered him. Carefully, I put the book into my bag, continuing to sigh.
He then stops me from grabbing my backpack. His gray eyes shot care towards me. "Oi, you're not a monster. Trust me." The bell then rings, and I sighed. "A nerdy girl too? Should've known..." He chuckles softly as he got up from the seat. "But... I don't want to go to school."
"You should." I grumbled, getting up. But... I felt my heart echoing in my head... and it began to fade as I walked away. "School's... i-important, you know..."
"And are you gonna make me attend school?" He chuckles as he walked towards me. "I'll only do it... under one condition."
"Like what?" I turned back to him and saw him smirking. "Either I get a kiss from you... or..."
"You know what? Nevermind." My eyes rolled as I began to walk off towards school. "I won't kiss you."
A loud chuckle comes from behind me as my heart raced. "I like your style..."

Sitting in my class, I wanted to hear my heartbeat like that again... but why did that happen with him around? I seen him before... not knowing his name. More like, he was famous as 'the bad boy' and nothing else. Who was he to be attempting to flirt with a monster like me?
