Officer Hays' POV

"Daddy... I'm sorry..." Raven says to me in the car as we drove away from the school. She got into another fight... and this time, she didn't hesitate to finish the fight. As she claimed, a girl started to act mean and call her names... and as self-defense, Raven punched her until the girl's nose broke and was bleeding. The teachers had to pull Raven away. "I'm sorry-

"Raven, that's enough." I sighed softly as we drove home. 6 years and I had taken care of her since I took her in. I never mentioned about her real parents... and all she knew was that I was her father. "We talked about this. No fighting."

"But she-"

"Raven. Enough." I looked into the mirror and saw her slouching a bit.

More and more, I kept seeing Hanji and Levi in her. Of course, genetics takes over... but people were questioning on her so-called mother. Such as how she looked like and how Raven never looked like me. Raven even questioned me about it... and I quickly dismissed it. She doesn't need to know about her true heritage as being the only daughter of those killers.

"Daddy?"

Hesitantly, I sighed and looked up to the mirror and straight into her gray eyes, which had changed since she was 6 months old. "Yes?"

"Where's Mommy?"

"Mommy's... she's in a better place."

"Oh... but... I don't seeing her."

I chuckled softly, remembering how precious a child's innocence was to me. Even though she was the daughter of killers... she was still innocent. "You were really young, Raven. You wouldn't remember how she looked like."

"But... didn't Mommy have dark brown hair and brown eyes and glasses?"

My heart began to stop as she described her real mother, Hanji. How could she... no... she must be dreaming about it. "Raven, n-no... she had black hair and gray eyes-"

"Oh... like that man?"

"W-What man?" Was Levi out and about? No... I would've gotten some sort of notification... "Raven, what man?"

She giggles softly. "The man that held me. He held me really close and kept saying something... like he loved me very very much and... promising he would protect me. He always kissed me... who was he, Daddy?"

The man? No... it had to be Levi. There was no way she could remember him. She was only a few months old. And the woman... what did she know?

"He was with that lady... I remember pulling on her glasses, Daddy."

"Raven... I... um... you must've dreamt it, baby. I have no idea who those people were."

Raven looked down, slouching more. "O-Oh..."

"Don't worry... they're just dreams. They're not real. You don't remember Mommy and that... well, they're just dreams. Your imagination."

She just nods her head and looked outside. Raven, I need to protect you from those monsters.

Raven's POV

When we got home, Daddy took a nap on the couch... and I was supposed to do my missing homework. But... Daddy left a big folder on the table. And... I wanted to see it because my name was on there.

I opened it, and I saw my face, smiling happily. But then... there was those two people I remembered... "H-Hanji..." I say, reading the name of the lady. "Levi..." I read from the man. And then... it was my name. Raven Isabella Ackerman... and not Raven Anita Hays.

I began to cry, looking at them. "Raven!?" I looked up to Daddy, who was still trying to wake up. But his eyes drifted down and saw the file. "You went into my stuff?! Raven, go to your room!"

Quietly, I nodded my head and quickly took a small card before walking to my room. I waddled into there, closing the door behind me and looked at the card. "L-Levi..." And it had numbers... like a phone number... I walked to the phone in my room and dialed it.

"This is the Sina Prison. Who would you like to talk to?"

"U-Uh... L-Levi... Acker... man?" I struggled to say the name.

"Please hold." And then weird music began to play. I waited for a long time, and soon, the lady began to speak. "Levi Ackerman is now speaking. This will be recorded."

I heard a deep grunt and cold... but very familiar. I remembered listening to that voice. "Hello?"

"D-Daddy?" I called out, whispering. "My daddy said that he's my daddy, but I found a file... and it says that you're my daddy..."

He sounds like... he was crying... "R-Raven? Is that you? What's your full name?"

"Raven Anita Hays. But the papers says Raven Isabella Ackerman..."

"Oh god... you are my daughter..."

"You're my daddy? What about Mommy?"

He sighed softly, crying a bit. "Mommy... I don't know where she is. But... Raven... you're 6 right now, right? And your birthday is in April 12, right?"

I nodded, "Y-Yes..."

"I'm sorry for not saying 'happy birthday' to you because... well, I didn't know where you were... or who you were. I was scared that they changed your first name... and I was afraid they would've hidden you far from me. Raven... I loved you... I still love you. I love you and your mommy."

"D-Daddy..."

"Keep acting like Hays is your dad, okay? But please... talk to me again... please. I want to hear your voice... it's been so long..."

I nodded, "Yes, Daddy."

"And listen to me... no matter what... I love you. No matter what, I'm here. No matter what, you're not a monster... and you're perfect. Understand me?"

"I... I understand, Daddy..."

"I have to go now... Daddy loves you..." And... I couldn't hear his voice anymore.
