Chapter 7

"What do you want to talk about?" I was kind of nervous. What if he doesn't want me.

"We are gonna have to figure something out with us. I'm 22 almost 23 and you're 17. It's technically illegal for us to be together right now. I mean, we can be together here around our pack, but not around humans." I nodded, signaling that I understood. "So, we have to stay hidden right now, at least until you're 18. Which, by the way, when is your birthday?"

"My birthday is November 16th, so just a couple of months away." Jason beamed at that.

"Oh good, just two months. I'm going to have to talk to Callum about this, but, you are going to fake date Callum so that no one at school tries to date you. Also when you go on 'dates' with him, you'll actually be with me." I thought about it for a minute. I mean, it makes sense.

"Ok, I can do that. I can't wait to spend time with you and get to know you." Jason smiled down at me and started leaning in. I closed my eyes and leaned in too. Once our lips connected, it was like the whole world stopped spinning. It was one of the best kisses I have ever had. We pulled apart and just stared at each other.

"Alright love birds, break it up." Callum said, coming back from getting his car. Jason growled at him and I just rolled my eyes.

"Callum, can I talk to you for a minute?" Jason asked. Callum nodded. Jason told him about his plan and Callum agreed to do it. Which is great, since I still get to hangout with Callum.

"I should probably be getting you home." Callum said. I looked at the time and it was already 1pm. My eyes widened.

"Yeah, I need to go home right now before my mom kills me." Jason looked at me and gave me a quick kiss. I whined when he pulled away. He smiled.

"I'll see you soon princess. Oh, you might want to hold off on telling your sister until we get all the pack stuff all together."

"What am I supposed to do? Lie? Say I haven't found my mate yet?" Jason nodded. I sighed and nodded my head, letting him know I understood. Callum and I walked out of the house, I looked behind me to look at Jason one last time before leaving. We got into the car and Callum took me home.

"Well, today was crazy. I'm glad you found your mate. I guess I'll see you and Hope tomorrow." I smiled at him and got out of the car, saying goodbye. I went inside the house and ran upstairs to take a shower. Once my shower was finished, I went into my room. Hope was sitting on my bed.

"So? Was he your mate?"

"No, but I'm sure I'll find him soon. Also, we are going to Callum's pack tomorrow and joining. Well, talk about joining."I hated lying to my sister, but I had to for now. Hope looked at me, slightly confused.

"Why do we need to join a pack? Aren't we fine on our own?" I shook my head.

"Apparently not. It's okay, we'll figure it all out tomorrow." Hope nodded and walked out of my room. I sighed and got dressed. I went to my computer and got the dance studio number and started to call. I was excited to start dancing again. I finished the call satisfied, just had to have mom go in and sign the papers.

"Callie Jo Stone! Get your butt down here right now!" My eyes widened. I ran down the stairs to come face to face with my very angry mother.

"Yes mom?" I asked innocently.

"You were supposed to be home at 11:30. You missed weigh in." I wanted to roll my eyes but I knew better.

"I'm sorry mother. It won't happen again promise. We just lost track of time." I put my head down. Hopefully me not eating yet today and our little hike/run, helped me stay at 100 pounds. Mom shook her head and went to go grab the scale and her notepad. I stepped on the scale are prayed, though I'm not religious. I looked down at the scale, 97.3 pounds. Mom noted it in her notepad.

"Very good. You're dismissed." I walked back up the stairs and laid on my bed, crying a little. I hate this. I wish mom would just stop with the weigh ins and just leave me alone. I ended up crying myself to sleep.
