Chapter 15:

It's been a few weeks since I had seen Jason. I haven't seen him since my appointment, and have kind of gone into a depression state. My mom was punishing me again because I was gaining weight since I was pregnant. I was really getting worried that something was going to happen. It was getting colder as we go into November and I was getting bigger. My birthday was coming up soon, I was going to be 18. An adult, I could control my own life and get away from here.

“Callie, Hope, let's go, it's time for weigh in before school!” I dragged myself out of bed. I threw on some grey sweatpants and a black plain shirt with a big black hoodie. I went downstairs after finding my shoes and doing my hair. I found hope already doing her weigh in with mom looking very happy with what she saw on the scale.  “Hope, you've been doing so good with your weight. I'm going to reward you with a nice dinner out tonight.”

“Thanks, mom.” Hope smiled at mom. I rolled my eyes. Hope, being the favorite as always, she could do no wrong.

“Alright Callie, your turn.” I sighed and got on the scale. It read 84.8 pounds, my eyes widen. That's not good at all! “Looks like someone will be joining us to our nice dinner.” I got off the scale and walked to the door to head outside. Once I was outside I saw a very familiar car outside. It was Jason's car and he was standing outside of it. I smiled wide and ran to him, he had his arms wide open ready to catch me.

“I missed you so much, baby.” Jason said wrapping his arms around me never letting me go.

“Never leave me alone for that long ever again.” I cried into his chest. He squeezed me a little harder.

“I won't. I promise. I wanted to come back the next day, but dad sent me to another pack to help them out. I didn't want to go but I had to since I'm Alpha now.

“I understand.” Hope came outside and saw us.

“Oh hey, Jason, where have you been?” Hope asked walking over to us.

“I've been out of town. But I'm back now and hopefully don't have to leave for a while. I'll take Callie to school.” Jason released me to open up the car door for me. I got in and Hope got into mom's car. Jason got in the car and started heading towards the school. “So, how is our little pup doing?”

“They are good, at least I think so.” I laughed a little. We pulled up to my school a little faster than I wanted.

“I can't come to lunch today but I can pick you up after school if you wanted.” I smiled at him.

“I would love that.” I leaned over, kissed him and got out of the car. I headed to my first class a little happier today than I have been in the last few weeks. It was almost lunch time and I was starving. While walking to the cafeteria, someone had tapped me on the shoulder.

“Hey I think you got your period. You got blood on your pants.” A girl whispered to me. My heart stopped for a second. I thanked the girl and ran to the bathroom. Once in the bathroom, I locked myself in a stall and pulled down my pants to see a pool of blood in them. I started panicking. I grabbed my phone and called Jason.

“Babe, I told you I'm not able to come today.” I started crying on the phone.

“I'm bleeding. A lot. There's something wrong.” Jason didn't say anything for a minute.

“I'm on my way.” He hung up the phone. I sat down on the floor.

“Callie!” The door burst open of the bathroom. It was Callum.

“Callum?” Callum broke the door lock on the stall and grabbed me. He handed me his jacket to hide my bloody pants. He picked me up and took me outside where Jasons car was waiting for us. Callum put me in the car, buckled me up and shut the door. Once the door was shut Jason sped off to what I assumed was going to be the hospital.

“Jason.” I cried out. Jason grabbed my hand.

“It's okay, baby. We are going to the pack doctor and we're going to figure out what's going on.” We pulled up to the pack house. Jason ran towards my side of the car, picked me up and ran me inside to where the pack doctor was located. We burst through the door where the pack doctor was already waiting for us to show up.

“Alright let's figure out what's happening.” The pack doctor said. Jason put me on the table. The doctor took some blood for blood work then started doing an ultrasound. I was so scared. I had a really bad feeling that I was having a miscarriage and it was all my fault. The doctor was being really quiet the whole time.

“What's going on? Is my pup ok?” Jason asked. You could tell how worried he was.

“I can't find a heart beat at the moment. But the baby could just be hiding.” She was obviously just trying not to scare us. But I knew, I wouldn't be bleeding this much if my baby was still alive. I started bawling, Jason grabbed my hand, tears streaming down his face. He knew too. The doctors assistant came in with the blood results but she didn't look all that happy. The doctor looked over the results and put down the doppler, looking at us with sad eyes. “I am so sorry.”
