Chapter 8: The Meeting

Chapter 8

I woke up the next morning, not feeling good about myself for some reason. I got out of bed and went downstairs to get some water. I saw my mom already down there cooking breakfast, it smelt amazing.

“Good morning Callie.” My mom greeted me with a smile. I slightly waved at her and grabbed a glass from the cupboard, filling it with water from the fridge. I sat down and drank my water.

“Whatcha makin’?” I asked. I looked down and clearly saw my mom making eggs and Turkey bacon.

“Just some food for you and Hope. I've already ate my breakfast.” My mom said holding up her smoothie. I nodded and finished off my water.

“So, Hope and I were planning on going out for a little bit. Probably a couple hours if that's ok?” I asked. I know my mom was upset with me about yesterday for coming home late.

“Yeah that's fine. We have nothing planned for the day since weigh in isn't until tomorrow.” Mom started separating the food on plates and even added some avocados. She handed me mine while she called out for Hope to come downstairs. I started eating and I was kind of happy. Hope came downstairs and started eating.

“Did you asked mom about going out?”

“Yeah, we're good.” Today, I actually ate all my food. I slightly felt bad about it, I never finish all my food no matter how much my mom gives me. I cleaned up my dishes and headed upstairs. I checked my phone and saw I had a message from an unknown number.

‘Hey beautiful. It's Jason, Callum gave me your number since we never exchanged #'s yesterday.’ I smiled at the message and replied back to him. I saved his number in my contacts under, ❤My boy❤. I laughed at myself, I sudden didn't feel very well. I ran to the bathroom and started throwing up all of my breakfast. I must have eaten too much for my stomach to handle. I wiped my face and brushed my teeth, I heard my phone go off when I entered my bedroom again.

‘You should probably head over soon to meet with the alpha.’ Jason messaged me. I sighed. I grabbed my phone off the charger and went to find Hope.

“Are you going to be ready to go soon?” I asked, entering her room. She was in the middle of doing her makeup.

“Yeah, just give me 5 minutes and I should be ready.” I nodded and exited the room. I went downstairs to get the key from mom.

“ Mom, can I get the keys!” I called out. I couldn't find her, she was usually always downstairs. “Mom?” I called out. I went and looked outside and saw that the car was gone. Great. I unlocked my phone and called Callum.

“Hello?” Callum answered.

“Hey Callum! It's Callie. I need a huge favor from you.”

“What's up?”

“Do you think that you could come get Hope and I?” I asked hopeful.

“Oh, yeah of course! Give me a few minutes and I'll be right over.” We said our goodbyes and hung up. I went and sat on the couch and waited for Hope to come downstairs.

“You ready?” Hope asked coming down.

“Yeah. We're just waiting for Callum to come get us, since mom took the car.” Mom looked at me weird.

“Why would mom leave without telling us?” I shrugged and heard a honk come from outside. We headed to the door and saw Callum in the driveway, he waved at us. We got in the car, greeting each other and headed towards the pack house.

“Are you guys ready to join the pack!” Callum asked, a little too excited. Hope laughed at him.

“I mean, from what I heard from Callie, we don't really have much of a choice.” Hope said.

“Yeah. All of that will be cleared up with the Alpha. No worries.” We pulled up to the pack house and Hope gasped. I was kind of excited, I couldn't wait to see Jason again. Callum parked the car and we started heading inside.

“Bro! This place looks awesome!” Hope exclaimed. Callum laughed. All of a sudden, Jason's scent hit me like a brick wall, he's nearby. I smiled, I couldn't wait to see him. I just met him yesterday and he's already got such a huge impact on me. We entered the office I was in yesterday and that's when I saw him. I smiled wide at him. How could I miss someone so much even though I just met them? This mate thing is crazy, but I loved it.

“Callie welcome back, and you must be Hope.” The Alpha said standing up and shaking both of our hands. We said our thanks and took seats in the chairs across from Jason and the Alpha. “I have Jason here with us today since he will soon be taking over as Alpha since he has found his mate.” He smiled at us but I knew it was directed towards me. I can't believe Jason's going to be taking over being Alpha. My mate the Alpha, that's crazy.

“That's wonderful! I'm so happy for you. I'm hoping to find my mate here, so does Callie, I'm sure.” Mine and Jason's eyes met for a split second.

“And I hope you girls do. Anyways, onwards with what we really had planned for today. You girls joining our pack. We would be so delighted to have you two and we plan on training and teaching you to our best ability about our kind.” Hope and I looked at each other as if we were reading each other's minds.

“We'd love to join your pack.” Hope and I said together. The Alpha smiled at both of us in delight as well as Jason.

“That's wonderful! Now, I know your mom is human and doesn't know about you guys, so you can remain living where you guys are. We usually have newer pack members stay in the pack house but, we can make this work. From what I can see, your house is in our border, so that's even better.” Hope and I looked at each other, slightly confused, but went along with it. “We will start planning the ceremony and have it aimed to happen soon. We can't start anything until the ceremony, but it should happen sometime this week, so no worries. You'll be learning about our kind in no time.” The Alpha stood up to shake our hands basically confirming about what we talked about, we also shook Jason's hand. I loved feeling the tingles when Jason and I touch, it made me feel all giddy.

“Thank you so much Alpha Dave and Jason. You made us feel very welcomed and we can't wait to join you.” I said.

“We will have Callum let you know when the ceremony is.” Jason said. I melted a little from his voice. He's just sexy all around. Hope and I walked out of the office to meet up with Callum.

“How'd it go?”

“It went good. We'll be having a ceremony soon.” Hope said. I turned my body slightly amd saw Jason motioning me to come here.

“Hey, I got to go to the bathroom real quick.” I said and went towards the direction of Jason. Once I got to him he pulled me into a random room and kissed me.

“I wanted to do that all day.” I smiled at him.

“This was really nice and I needed it, but I should go, text me! Maybe I could have you sneak over some time.” I winked at him and left the room. What was this boy doing to me. Callum drove us home and the rest of the day was pretty uneventful.
