After a long night the shepherds returned to the slaughterhouse, at day break, to deliver their daily quota. They stopped the carriage by the triage sector entrance awaiting the on duty operator. They heard screams of terror and electric saw machine noises. The transport traffic processing was fast. Maddening shouting came from the captives. Dread filled the place.
"So what have you got for me today lads?"
"Nothing special, but maybe this two young boys may be of your interest."
"Let me see them."
An elite Pemakan group came by to visit the facilities while the officer was inspecting Jacob and Trevor, in bondage straps, gagged and stripped of their clothing.
"So here is the triage sector where we separate and give treatment to the human livestock before food processing, feed some of them in isolation to mingle the fat within the muscle making the meat tastier." The tour guide said.
"I thought you bring here only adult specimens, am I wrong?" The wife of a high ranked Pemakan officer said.
"They're troublemakers my lady. Officer, explain to us why they're here. Now!"
The tour guide said to the triage operative.
"They've just arrived, Sir. The shepherds can explain it to you better than I."
The shepherd shrugged and lowered his head.
"Well Sir, you know, we're prone to all kinds of violence from the human animals. Sometimes they attack us and disrupt the herding process. So we bring them here too. These boys tried to hurt us with fire."
"They're dirty and skinny, but kind of cute," said the Pemakan wife, "I could use them as pets in the Pleasure Tower honey."
"Not again Ezald. Everywhere we go you try to rescue dying road kill."
"Look, they're healthy and good looking. We could use them to amuse us in some boring night."
"They'll be prepared and sent there my lady. We're glad to help."
The tour guide and the group continued their whereabouts in the slaughterhouse.
"You heard the boss. Toss them in the next transport to Pleasure Tower." The triage operative said.
"Oh God, I thought this situation would drag forever. My mate will kill me because of my delay. This work sucks." The shepherd said.
