Jimin was surprised to see the polo player at a swim meet. More or less his swim meet. He wanted to ask what he was doing here and who invited him, last he could remember he hadn't mentioned anything. Maybe it was Taehyung? Maybe he found out from someone else?

At the moment Jimin couldn't worry about those things, he had a race to win.

The buzz sounded his ears, indicating it was time to climb onto the block. He wiggled his arms, slapped his thighs and tightened his goggles before he was fully ready. He took his starting postion,

Beep!

His legs sprung back and his arms lunged forward into a tight hold around his head. His body his the water and off he went. Jimin sprinted the first one hundered meters, getting a good pace in while he can.

After the first one hundered he slowed down enough for his breathing to catch up. He flipped.

It's been almost two minutes and he was on his two hundered. His pace slowed down a bit more, his shoulder starting to ache but he pushed through. As much as he can that is.

He flipped once more, completing the two hundered and now working on his three hundered. When he turned to the side to breath, he could hear the cheers of his teammates, coach and the distant cheers of Jeongguk and Taehyung.

He felt determined and ready to win. He was on his four hundered, meaning now was the time to speed up. His arms propelled across the water and his legs kicking as fast as they can. He flipped once more, coming into contact with the pad and,

He won.

Jimin looked up at the board with a giant grin on his face, slapping the water out of excitement. He dropped at least six seconds off of his previous time. Jimin couldn't be more excited.

He looked up at the stands to see both Taehyung and Jeongguk standing up, arms raised up in the air as they cheered for the swimmer. When he looked over at his coach he couldn't help but laugh at the funny looking grin he held on his face.

His coach wasn't one to smile so this was new.

After everyone had finished the race he hopped out of the water, a towel wrapping around him while a water bottle was shoved into his hand. His coach marched over and brought Jimin into his arms.

"That was one hell of a race kid, I've never seen anyone swim like you did out there," Jimin patted his back, letting go of the hug. "You have a relay later, go sit up at the stands and take a break. You deserve it."

Jimin's coach walked him toward the stairs of the stands before leaving to watch the other swimmers. When Jimin got up to the top of the stands he was enveloped into a hug.

"You were on FIRE!" Taehyung yelled causing the other to giggle. Jimin looked up from the hug and smiled at Jeongguk who stood behind them.

Taehyung let the swimmer go, leading him towards their spot. "Okay, I brought granola, apples, oranges, kiwi-" Jimin covers his mouth.

"What am I five?" He asked. Taehyung removed Jimin's hand with a pout. Jimin sighed before holding his hand out. "Apple me." Taehyung does as told.

From next to them Joengguk couldn't help but laugh. "Are you guys always like this?" He asked as the two boys looked at him, one with a mouthful of apple and another with granola.

"No," Taehyung spat, granola flying out his mouth. "Only at swim meets." Jimin nodded his head.

Jeongguk laughed once more. Jimin turned away from Taehyung and towards Jeongguk. "Thank you for coming, but I have one question. Why?"

"Well, you looked stressed today at lunch. I asked Taehyung why and he said it was because of the the meet. Later I asked if I could join him," He explained. "I enjoyed watching you swim and I hope I can see you swim some more in the future." Both boys' cheeks turned a slight shade of pink.

Jimin nodding, "I would love that."

It was late at night when Jimin, Jeongguk and Taehyung got home. They decided to pig out at Jimin's home since his grandmother insisted.

"Welcome home boys! And good job today Jimin, I heard you swam great." Jimin's grandmother said as she greeted the three boys at the door.

Jimin leaned down and gave his grandmother a quick peck on the cheek. "This is Jeongguk," He said gesturing to the tall boy. "And of course you know Taehyung." He said with little to no enthusiasm. Taehyung slapped his arm from next to him causing the granny to laugh.

"Nice to meet you, I have food on the table and some drinks in the fridge so help yourselves." She smiled. The three nodded before running into the kitchen and chowing down on whatever Jimin's grandmother decided to make.

It was nice eating with your best friend and possibly new love interest.
