Lillian shifted back and forth to examine herself in the mirror, her sweetheart bodice displayed her cleavage perfectly, thanks to the corset beneath it of course. The custom beading she had added to the train on her ball gown came out beautifully. The crisp white gown complimented her complexion, she was ecstatic everything was going swimmingly.

No catering bumps, no cake mishaps, no wardrobe malfunctions she smiled at her reflection. The evil glint in her eyes popped against the coal lines. The only tiny glitch to her day was that her fiancée hadn't arrived until just fifteen minutes ago. That was okay though, she sent for her father he'll come and make it all right.

A light tap on the door distracted her from her thoughts, "come in."

Callum stepped through the threshold into the bridal suite, his eyes lit up taking in the view before him, "oh baby-cakes, you look beautiful."

"Thank you, daddy," she said with a smile, "you look very dapper today, Mr. Mayor."

"I still can't believe all this."

"Believe it, daddy," she smirked, "all our dreams are coming true."

"How are you feeling, pumpkin?"

"Nervous," she pouted, "I heard he was late getting here. What if he backs out?"

"Then we still get everything, it's in the contract."

"Yeah but," she said then sighed, "I won't have him."

"You really love this guy huh."

"More than life itself!" She gasped, "I don't know what I'll do if he says 'I don't'"

Callum looked at his daughter, she was fighting back tears. The last thing he wanted was for his little girl's heart to break, "how about I slip him some suggestive mood enhancer again?"

Lillian blinked back tears, "really daddy, you'd do that?"

"I'd do anything for you, pumpkin."

"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! You're the best!" She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him close, "I'm so lucky to have you."

"I've got to get going if we're going to do this in time, the bottle is in my car."

Lillian smirked as the door closed behind him, she returned her gaze to the mirror and began humming the wedding march.

A knock on the door broke the silence in the groom's room.

Ben stood up and opened the door a crack, no one needed to see Dean with his head between his legs trying not to be physically sick about what he was about to do.

"Mr. Mayor," Ben nodded his head, "what can we do for you?"

"The planner told me to tell you, boys, you're needed in ten minutes," Callum explained, "I brought my future son in law a drink to help ease his nerves." He held up the tumbler with what appeared to be a dark whiskey in it, "may I come in?"

"Look, I'm sorry, but Dean just wants a few minutes of quiet before he meets his bride at the altar."

"Oh, surely he can spare a minute for me," Callum smiled, "we're about to be family."

Ben sighed and looked over at Dean who was shaking his head, "I know sir, but he really just needs these last few moments."

"Fine," Callum handed Ben the glass, "tell him to drink this it will make him feel better. After he drinks it be sure to tell him today, he will marry the woman of his dreams and be happier than ever."
