Dean's bedroom was wrecked, shattered glass glittered the carpet from broken picture frames. The end table that was next to his bed last night now laid beside the door missing a leg. Small trinkets and personal hygiene items that once sat on top of his dresser had been stricken to the ground.

Dean himself sat in the middle of a pile of fluff that had once been two pillows, against the headboard, his legs up, with his elbows resting on his knees. He had his head down, and his hands tangled through his hair. This is where he had been sitting since he picked up his phone this morning, and this is where Ben found him.

"What are you doing you're getting married in an hour," Ben sighed.

"Did you know?" his voice was soft and raw with emotion.

"Did I know what? Jesus, man what happened in here."

"Of course, you knew," Dean scoffed.

"Dean, you're not making any sense."

He sniffled his nose then looked up at his best friend with red eyes.

"Shit," Ben mumbled, "she told you."

Dean tilted his head back and chuckled, "yeah, she told me."

"Well, this is good, now all we have to do is call off the..." Ben stopped when he saw Dean shaking his head.

"She's not due for another month," Dean reminded him, "The deadline is tomorrow at midnight."

"So what man," Ben walked over and sat on the edge of the bed facing him. "That's your family Dean, the love of your life is having your kids."

"You think I don't know that!" Dean snapped, "you think I WANT to marry that spoiled leech. If I don't go through with this Ben, she gets everything. EVERYTHING, my money, business, apartment, truck, my mother's money everything! My mom will be put out on her ass and in a homeless shelter before the ink dries. I can't do that to her. I can't be a selfish son and choose my happiness over her wellbeing."

"So what?" Ben snapped, "just going to show up on Rachels doorstep five years from now say 'Daddy's home' and hope she takes you in. As if you hadn't chosen money over her and your kids."

"No," Dean put his head down again to hide the new set of tears, "my kids will never know who I am."

Ben looked at his friend in shock, "excuse me?"

Dean shook his head then ran his hands down his face and sighed, "I can't let Lily know of their existence. She will do everything she can to make Ray's life a living hell and I can't ..."

"What did Rachel say when you told her this?"

"We haven't talked yet."

"But I thought she called."

"She did," Dean leaned over and picked up his phone from the side table, "at four-thirty this morning."

He swiped the screen to bring his phone to life and opened the visual voicemail folder, he found the recording turned on the speaker then pressed 'play.'

"Hey," her voice cracked, and she sniffled. "I, um... I need to tell you something. Ben told me about well..." she sobbed for a moment then continued. "Please don't hate me, I'm so sorry. I know I should have told you so much sooner but I just... and now your..." Rachel hiccuped and choked on a cry.

"Dean," her voice came out as an almost whisper, "I'm Pregnant."

There was silence for a moment, "Please don't be mad, I didn't know what to do. Ben said it was a good thing that it would help you get out of the contract, that you were dosed but your results came back inconclusive. He said you didn't want her but..." she got quiet again, "but you never called, you never tried to reach out to me, there was no contact at all.

"I didn't tell you about the babies because I didn't want you to come back just for them. I didn't want you to feel trapped, to be here with us as just a way to get out of a contract. I couldn't do that to us," she sniffled again, "my due date is next month. Twins sometimes come early though. Yeah, you heard right one boy, one girl. I miss you so much, and now I'm too late. I'm so sorry."

Ben studied his friends face the entire time he listened to the voicemail, he had to have listened to it a few times because his reactions were dulled, though tears still ran down his cheeks the moment she said she was having his babies; then again when you could hear the broken emotion about him not calling.

Dean just stared ahead, "I should have just called her, now I've lost her forever."

Ben's phone rang interrupting the moment, he looked down to see 'Natalia McGuiere' on his screen.

"Hello," He answered.

"Ben, where are you? Did you find him?" She questions quickly, "did you find Dean?"

"Yeah," Ben responded with a sigh," he's right here with me, we were about to leave."

"Well, hurry up!" She ordered, "You had better fade too! I don't want to see that blasted truck outside this church."

"Yes, ma'am, we're on our way," he hung up and looked at his friend.

"Time to face the music."
