= Kylo's POV =
I sat kneeling on the floor, at the foot of my bed. It was early in the morning, around 5am.
The dreadnaught was peaceful at this time of day. There were no sounds to be heard, other than the low purr that the engines produced.
I sometimes took a morning to think. That's what I was doing now.
The silence was peaceful, calming. I was able to clear my mind.
There is no such thing as Peace.
My head shot up, startled and taken off-guard by the voice I had just heard. I looked around my room and saw no one.
I didn't recognise the voice. It was ghoulish, slightly raspy. It was as if this person hadn't spoken in a long time. It definitely was not Rey.
Peace is for the weak. There is only victory, and triumph - both for the disciplined.
I stood up now, turning around and searching for the hideous voice. Nothing was to be seen.
This was getting annoying, whoever was doing this needed to back off.
Calmness and collection, my son.
I was beginning to lose my cool, my fists clenching at either side of me.
"Who are you?" I scowled, "And what are you doing inside my head?"
I walked to the centre of my room, looking around, awaiting an answer.
You're weak, the voice growled. You are no ruler. A weak ruler inspires weak following. No ruler should have their mind as open to invasion as you do.
"Who are you?" I yelled, demanding an answer.
You needn't know, the voice whispered in a crackling voice.
I was getting desperate now, my heart rate increasing. I needed an answer.
"Supreme Leader Snoke?" I exhaled.
The voice cackled, ringing in my ears, causing me to wince in pain.
Ha! You dare to assume me as that foolish man! He was feeble, only rising to the top because there were no other contenders. I am of much greater power, and significance than him.
My ears were ringing in intense pain. Whoever this man was did have great power, he was inside my brain, creating pain that was not actually there.
I closed my eyes, grasping my head, grunting with the pain, and began concentrating on getting him out of my head.
He pushed back with profound violence, causing my knees to buckle, falling to the floor.
You're so fragile! the man yelled, his hoarse voice echoing intensely inside my head.
How did the grandson of Darth Vader become so weak? Pathetic. Weakened by his mother and father?
"No!" I screamed. "I killed my father with no hesitation!"
I pushed him back significantly, I could sense his confusion. He retaliated.
