Daisy awoke to her phone vibrating on her bedside cabinet. She fumbled around for it and without looking to see who it was, answered.

“Hello?” She mumbled, pulling herself up to a sitting position and sighed when she was met with silence.

She tried again. “Hello?” The line was blank once more so she disconnected the call and placed the phone back on the cabinet and stood from her bed to stretch her legs when her phone rang again.

Swiping it up from the cabinet she calmed herself before answering with another sweet “Hello?”

        Silence.

Groaning, she again disconnected the call and threw the phone down on her bed as it rang for a third time.

“Look, creep!” she started when she answered again. “Phone me again and I’ll hunt you down and make you unable to have kids. Got it?!”

“O…kay?” the voice spoke and Daisy immediately relaxed.

“Sorry, Kurt, I’m just… stupid phone calls.” She told him, bashfully.

        “Phone calls?” he inquired.

“Yeah, I went for a nap and woke up to my phone ringing. I answered and no-one spoke. Happened twice.” She sighed.

“Hmm” he pondered for a moment and then sniffled. “We’ll sort that out later, but right now, I’ve got a surprise for you.”

“You have?” she asked, excitedly. Daisy had always loved surprises. Well, surprises that she didn’t have to wait for. “I don’t have to wait for this one, do I?”

“Absolutely and not at all; your surprise is there now. Open your bedroom door.” She jumped up and ran to the door and opened it. “Now, go downstairs.” She followed his instructions leading her to the front door. “Now open the door.” He told her. She could hear in his voice the smile that he more than likely had plastered on his face and she giggled as she opened the door. She looked out in confusion.

“There’s nothing there.” She sighed, double checking that she hadn’t missed anything.

“How about now?” she heard a voice from the garden path and she looked up to see Kurt stood there with a bunch of flowers and a grin on his face.

Usually she would have run into his arms and hugged him to death, but this time she didn’t and it worried Kurt. He held his arms out for her to take but she just stood there with a solemn expression on her face. His arms dropped to the side and he wondered what was wrong. What had happened in the last week for her to be so hostile towards him?

“Are you still mad at me for leaving?” He asked her. She shrugged, but didn’t make any movements. Running his free hand through his hair and down to his neck, he took a step forwards towards her causing her to mimic his actions, taking a step backwards. “These are for you.” He held out the flowers for her which she reluctantly took from his hands. “Daisy, what’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” She mumbled and turned her head away from his gaze. That was a lie. There was something wrong. Something she could never admit to him.  As he stood there in front of her, she had to fight with herself to keep her eyes from staring at him. She hadn’t noticed it before but he had the most perfect body she had ever seen and her thoughts were full of things she could do to a man like that. Disgusted with herself, her eyes welled up and the tears threatened to fall.

“Please tell me.” He begged, lifting his hand to caress her cheek.

“Don’t touch me.” She swatted his hand away and ran back into the house.
