The wedding is over now, and the sun is setting, but the story is just beginning...
This was the first time Ethan was going to stay more than one night at Jasmine's house. He always wanted to stay until he remembered Lilly existed. His gag reflexes would kick in at just the thought of him seeing her, nevermind interacting with her, but now Lilly was unavoidable. He knew he had to do something about her, but what could he do that wouldn't send Jasmine away too? So many plans spiraled in his head, trying to figure out his perfect plan.
"What a beautiful sunset." Says Jasmine, while admiring the red and pink sky with streaks of orange, and the perfect amount of clouds.
Ethan wrapped his arm around Jasmine, and pulled her close to him. In response to Ethan bringing her closer, Jasmine laid her head on his broad shoulder.
They stood on the wooden deck that was raised to the second floor, and admired the sunset until it disappeared into the night sky.
As Jasmine and Ethan, walked back into the house, Lilly came into the room with a big smile on her face, and a phone in her hand. Ethan's face immediately changes from happy to disgust, but nobody notices.
"Guess what, mom?" Lilly says, excitedly
"What?" Jasmine says, curiously
"So, I took a bunch of photos of you and Ethan, and I got 325 likes on Instagram!" Lilly says, bursting with joy.
"You can't post pictures of me! Delete them now!" Ethan yelled, angrily.
Lilly's smile and confidence disappeared, and was replaced with sadness and confusion. She had never met anyone who got angry when she posted a picture of them.
"Please delete the photo, flower." Says, Jasmine calmly
"Flower?" Ethan asked Jasmine, confused.
"Oh, that's just my nickname for her." Jasmine replies.
Ethan's head fills with images of how to kill flowers with Lilly's face on them. After about a minute, Ethan snaps back to reality.
"Did you delete the photos?" Ethan asks, Lilly
"But you guys looks so cute together!" Lilly wines
"I don't care what we look like! You have no right to post those photos!" Ethan screams angrily, before throwing his fist into the wall.
Jasmine gives out a small scream, and Lilly stood paralyzed with fear.
"Lilly, delete them." Jasmine says, with a shaky voice.
"Okay." Lilly says with almost no voice.
Ethan slowly takes his fist out of the wall while staring intensely at Lilly.
"Show me." Ethan says
Lilly quickly turns the phone around so that the screen was facing him, and her shaky fingers hit delete.
"Okay... Now that that crisis is gone, let's just go to bed." Jasmine says, starting to calm down.
Lilly walked out of the room and closed the door behind her. The wooden deck lead directly into Jasmine's room, so Ethan and Jasmine didn't have to leave the room.
"What is wrong with you?" Jasmine asked, very concerned.
"I hate photos of myself, they remind me of my dad." Ethan replies, with a calm voice but full of sadness.
"What did he do to you?" Jasmine asked, feeling worried.
"I don't want to talk about it." Ethan says, looking at the floor.
Jasmine places her warm hand on his cheek, causing Ethan to look up at her.
"I love you." Ethan says, while staring into her big, watery eyes.
"I love you too, Ethan. Everything is going to be okay. I promise." Jasmine says
Their heads move towards the other, making thier lips collide with each other.
Later that night, Ethan awakens from a bad dream. Visions of his father's face fade into the darkness of the room.
He looks at the digital clock that is settled upon a small night stand, inches away from the bed, and reads the time. The clock glows in red letters, 3:43 AM.
An idea pops into his head and he takes this opportunity to get revenge on Lilly for making him think of his father. He slowly pulls the covers off of him and attempts to slide out of bed, without waking up Jasmine.
When he manages to get out of bed, he immediately checks to see if Jasmine's eyes are open. When he sees that her eyes are closed, he carefully makes his way out of the room, without making a sound.
Lilly's room is the only bedroom that is downstairs. This is perfect for Ethan, because the sound of Lilly screaming would be more quiet than if she were upstairs, closer to Jasmine's room.
He quickly makes it to Lilly's room, with only the full moon's light through the windows, to guide him through the house.
Ethan grabbed the door knob to Lilly's room and slowly twisted on the knob. The squeak of the door as Ethan pushed it open didn't wake Lilly, but what Ethan was about to do would definitely wake her up.
In the corner of the room, right next to the window, was a metal bat. Lilly kept that bat there because she was in the middle of her softball season. She had to get dressed into her softball uniform in her room so she left her bat in the corner of her room, so she wouldn't forget about it in the midst of rushing to get ready for a game. Now her convenience was Ethan's convenience.
Ethan suddenly filled with anger when he saw her sleeping in her bed. He turned his anger into strength when he picked up that bat, and slammed it down hard on Lilly's body. Lilly, screams in pain, tears flow down her face as she looks up in the darkness to find Ethan standing over her with a bat in his hands.
"This is what you get for posting those pictures!" He says filled with rage, as he slams the bat down on her body once again.
"They were just pictures!" Lilly cries out
Ethan slams the bat into her body, harder than the other times.
"Those pictures reminded me of a man I hate, and for that you will pay." Ethan says
"Haven't I payed enough?" Lilly cries
"Not even close," He says bringing the bat above this head, for another swing. "And if you tell your mom about this, you are going to wish you were never born."
He slams the bat into her again, before dropping the bat on the ground and walking out of the room, leaving Lilly all alone and feeling vulnerable.
