"You need to get out of my head," Lilly said, forcing back her fear as she stared into the black abyss. Ethan was still nowhere to be seen, but his voice whispered in her ear.

"Why? Are you not having fun?" Ethan replied.

Lilly took a deep breath, letting the fear roll down her back before replying, "Get out of my head".

"No need to be so feisty"

"Get out of my head!" Lilly repeated, shouting this time.

"Make me"

Suddenly, a light from what looked like a lamp post flickered on, and underneath the cone of light, stood Ethan, a large grin spread across his face.

Lilly's heart stops, as she stared at Ethan. She wished she was braver, but every time she saw him, the memories of what he has done to her flashes in her eyes.

Ethan laughs, "I knew you were too weak"

Lilly felt her heart start up again, as the words sunk in. She didn't want him to be right. She adverted her gaze to the floor, " I'm not weak."

"Why don't you say that to my face?" Ethan replied.

Her heart fluttered faster and faster as she slowly moved her gaze back up to Ethan.

"I am not weak," Lilly replied with a slight break in her voice.

Suddenly, Ethan lunges forward, faster than a bullet, his large meaty hand wrapped around Lilly's small neck. His grip strengthens with every breath Lilly tries to take.

"Your're weak!" Ethan shouts, as his spit hits Lilly in her face.

Lilly's hands scratch at Ethan's hands, trying desperately to pull his hands away, nothing she does seems to faze him, even when her sharp nails dig into his skin, his face doesn't reflect any pain. Soon, Lilly's vision becomes blurred, Ethan's face begins to fade into darkness, and her eyes struggle to stay open as if there was an invisible rock resting upon her eyelids, growing heavier every second.

Suddenly, Lilly's vision becomes clear, as she gasps for air. Ethan had let go, his smile was bigger than ever.

"You're weak," Ethan repeated.

Lilly couldn't reply, her lungs were still forcing air into them, but she still didn't want to believe  that she was weak. After she composed herself, she repeated, "I'm not weak" in a soft voice, but unbroken. Ethan's smile quickly disappeared, replaced with a wide gaping mouth, before a loud screeching sound escaped his lips. The sound burst threw Lilly's ears like a bullet, she fell to the ground as hot blood streamed out of her ears.

"I'm not weak!" Lilly shouted, as her hands pushed hard against her ears.

Ethan screamed louder as the veins in his head pulsed out. His screams grew powerful, as his anger raged on. The invisible ceiling above them shattered and collapsed, large pieces of black concrete fall and crash into the black voids floor, causing little white cracks to splinter out like tree roots. The floor shook like a powerful earthquake, making it hard for Lilly to stand up. Pieces of ceiling crash all around Lilly, it was only a matter of time before a piece of ceiling falls on her. She had to stop him from screaming.

The ground shook fiercely underneath Lilly, there was no way she was going to get up and walk over to Ethan, she had to crawl. She used both her arms and knees to crawl over to Ethan. Suddenly, a large chunk of the ceiling crashes onto Lilly's legs. She screams in pain, as hot tears fall from her eyes. Ethan's screams cease as he stares at Lilly, causing everything to stop, except for the cries that are spilling out of Lilly's mouth.

Ethan laughs, before shouting, "weak!"

"I'm not.. weak," Lilly replied.

Suddenly, a bright light burns Lilly's eyes and the smell of the hospital burns her nose. Her mother sits next to her, holding Lilly's hand.

"Can we go now?" Lilly asks, softly.

"Yeah, we can," Jasmine replied, as a tear rolled down her cheek. " I rented a room at the hotel in town, we should be able to live there for a little while, after that I don't know where we're gonna go."

Lilly flashes back to the house fire. The burn of the fire still haunts her skin.

Suddenly, her legs burst with pain, Lilly screams as she throws the blanket off of her and onto the floor. Jasmine screams when she sees that Lilly's legs are bloody and a small portion of her tibia sticks out of her skin. Her legs are hurt exactly where the part of the ceiling was. Lilly fills with freight, as her heart pauses inside her chest. What happened in her mind, happened in real life, but it's never done this before. It's getting worse.
