Lilly's eyes squinted as a bright light burned her eyes. Is this another nightmare? Her hand pushed into something hard and gritty, as she pulled herself up into a sitting position. With the light out of her eyes, she was finally able to see where she was. Her eyes widened as she took in her surroundings, it was her backyard, but she was high above the ground. She looked down at her feet, and froze. She was on the roof. She searched her mind trying to figure out how she got on the roof but fell short. She carefully leaned forward to see the ground. She took a hard swallow as she leaned back onto the roof, taking in how far up she is. This is the tallest part of the house, where the ground is at least 24 feet high, but to Lilly this seemed a lot bigger. She pushed her hands and feet, hard into the roof. Suddenly, a cool breeze drifted across Lilly's body, causing goosebumps to fly across her arms, but Lilly didn't dare move. Tears slip out of her eyes as she pushes harder into the roof. The smell of pine trees drifted in by the wind, slowly turns into a different smell. The air feels thicker now, making it hard for Lilly to breath. A stream of gray clouds float from somewhere below her, stretching to the blue sky. Lilly's eyebrows furrow, as she stares at the gray clouds. Lilly's eyes pop out of her head as she realizes the roof feels extremely warm, and the gray clouds that drift into her nose, make her realize that the house is on fire. Lilly screams, her eyes search wildly for a way to safely get off the roof, but there's nothing, she has to jump. Suddenly, wind flies threw Lilly's hair as she plummets into the burning house. Time seemed to stop as Lilly stared up and the blue and gray sky, before slamming onto the floor of the house. No sound escaped Lilly's mouth when she hit the ground, all the air was ripped out of her lungs. She laid on the floor motionless, staring at only black and gray now, as smoke consumed the air. Suddenly, Lilly gasped for air, trying to suck in as much as she could, but there was only smoke now. She choked with every breath, as her lungs blackened with smoke. She struggled to pull herself up, every muscle in her body screamed in pain, but she managed to fully stand up. She looked frantically around the room she had fallen in, smoke is drifting up from the cracks in the floorboards, and fire is eating away all around her. Suddenly, Lilly sees a small path, that the fire hasn't touched yet, and runs threw it, despite her body's constant screams, and the non- stop coughing. She follows the small path out of the room and into the hallway. The stairs are untouched, but the flames are close behind. Lilly forces her legs to run faster down the stairs, not bothering with the railing, Lilly makes it down the stairs. Lilly's eyes burn, forcing tears to stream out of her eyes, but it does nothing, there's too much smoke. Suddenly, the image of her mom pops into her head. Lilly tries to scream for her mother, but the only sound that comes out of her mouth is the sound of her violent coughs. Suddenly, Lilly falls to the ground, her legs can't hold her weight anymore, but Lilly is determined to get out of this house. She uses her arms to help push her body foreword, one arm at a time. Slowly, she inched her way over to the kitchen door. When she reached the door, she pushed her right shoulder into the door, and stretched her left arm up to the door knob, her hand just barely touched the door knob, but it was enough. She twisted the doorknob and the door opened quickly opened, causing Lilly to fall on her side. She was almost out. Suddenly, the sound of sirens burst into Lilly's ears as she dragged the rest of her body out of the house. Filled with relief, Lilly's face fell to the ground and she quickly fell into a deep sleep.

"How did you like that?" A familiar voice echoed.

Lilly rubbed her eyes, and stared up at Ethan, who was sitting comfortably in a small couch, sipping from a cup of tea. She was in her mind once again.

"Like what?" Lilly replied

Ethan smiled. "The fire and waking up on the roof of course."

"That was you?! But how?" Lilly asked

"No Lilly, it was you." Ethan said
