Lilly's eyes flutter  like a butterfly's wings.

"Mom? What happened?"Lilly says, barely loud enough for Jasmine to hear.

"I saved you." Jasmine Replies, with tears flowing down her cheeks.

Lilly slowly brings herself up, and her arms float up around her mother's sides, and wraps her in a hug. Her head lays gently on Jasmine's chest.

"I love you." Lilly says, softly.

"I love you too." Jasmine says, before kissing Lilly's forehead.

After an hour, Jasmine finally speaks again, "Why don't you head up to bed?"

Lilly looks up at her mother, her eyes watery, but doesn't say anything. She pulls away from her mother, and leaves the room. Jasmine stays on the floor, waiting for Lilly to be out of sight before bursting into tears. Lilly is alive

*****

Lilly lies in her bed staring up at the ceiling. Something feels wrong. Her body doesn't feel the same as it did before. Before? Before when? Lilly couldn't remember. What's wrong with me? Lilly's mind begins to swirl. What happened? Why was I in the bathroom? Suddenly a memory of a man she used to know pops into her mind. Ethan. Ethan... He did something to Lilly but she couldn't remember. Why can't she remember?

Suddenly, Lilly bursts into a coughing fit. She quickly turns on her bedside lamp, in the midst of her coughing storm. Her eyes explode as she sees her arm covered in little dots of blood. Every time she coughs more droplets land on her arm. Her throat begins to burn, as she coughs more and more. She can't stop coughing.

Her body starts shivering, then lightly shaking, then trembling, slowly falling into a seizure. Her body begins jerking in every direction, causing her to fall of her bed and onto the floor. Blood from her coughing, dots her face and the floor in red. Her eyes drift to the back of her head, as she continues to seize.

Suddenly, Jasmine bursts in, quickly flicking on the light to see her daughter seizing wildly. A loud sharp scream rips out of Jasmine's mouth.

"Lilly!" Jasmine screams, while rushing over to Lilly.

Jasmine kneels down on the floor beside Lilly, and quickly flips Lilly on her left side. Lilly stops immediately. Her eyes gently slide back down to their normal positions.

Jasmine puts both her arms under Lilly, and slowly lifts her up. Lilly's body is a bit too heavy for Jasmine, but she manages to place Lilly back on her bed.

Lilly falls into a deep sleep as soon as her head hits the pillow. Jasmine's heart drops, she quickly floats her finger under Lilly's nose to make sure she's still breathing. When she feels the air come out of Lilly's nose, Jasmine's heart starts again.

******

Everything's black. Lilly sticks out her arms trying to feel if there's anything around her. Suddenly, a light appears in the distance, slowly growing brighter. Lilly stumbles over to the light. As she nears the light she can see a foot, then the legs, then the body, and then the face. She doesn't recognize the person standing there at first, but after a couple of seconds the memory of him, hits her like a ton of bricks. Ethan.

"Did you miss me? because I didn't miss you." Ethan says

"What are you doing here?" Lilly, with cracks in her voice.

"Do you even know where here is?" Ethan says, grinning.

"Of course I do." Lilly says looking around, trying to figure it out for herself.

"Don't lie to me, you snotty little brat." Ethan says, looking disgusted.

"Then tell me." Lilly says

"You're inside your own mind." Ethan replies

"If I'm in my own mind, why are you here?" Lilly says, feeling a cold chill run down her spine.

"No matter how many times I beat you, the bruises will go away, but mental scars are a lot harder to fix."

Lilly's breath catches in her throat.

"Scared you, didn't I?" Ethan says, grimacing in amusement

"No." Lilly says, with a voice crack

Ethan laughs.

"I wonder what else you are afraid of." Ethan says, with a smile spread across his face.

Suddenly Lilly feels like her brain is being scratched, the intense pain brings her to her knees.

"What are you doing?!" Lilly screams

"I'm looking for your fears." He responds, as his eyes flip back into his skull.

"Stop it!" Lilly screams, tears rushing down her face.

"You are scared of so many things, it's so hard to pick one."

"Stop it!" Lilly screams again.

"Ah, found one." He says, before bursting into laughter.

Suddenly, all the air slips from Lilly's lungs, and everything in the room begins to spin. All Lilly hears is Ethan's laughter as she falls into a pit of darkness.
