There Was Something in the Air- Chandy

This is my first Chandy story. The chapters will be titled with the lyrics of the song "Fernando". Maybe others from the other songs of the movie. I hope you like it

Cher was disappointed when she couldn't do the first Mamma Mia movie 10 years ago. That's why, as soon as her friend and old agent called her and said she would be doing the sequel, she didn't hesitate on saying yes. Cher was really nervous because most of the cast knew each other from the first movie already. Cher only knew Meryl but she wouldn't be joining until nearly the end. Some weeks had passed since filming started so the cast must have already met each other and catch up. I mean, she would be there only a month and a half after all but the time mattered. Sure there were new people among the cast but they were all young. All except one.

When Ol and Judy told Cher that her character would have a love interest, she didn't know what to expect. Ol met with her and told her she could pick him. He put a few pictures of distinguished actors in front of her. Cher looked at all of them but her heart unexpectedly skipped a beat when she saw Andy Garcia's picture. She instantly said "I want him" so her wish was Ol's command.

Cher didn't know what came over her when that happened. She had been single for half a decade now. How crazy, she didn't even know him and was having these thoughts. Of course she knew his work, the Godfather was one of her favorite movie series. There was no doubt Andy Garcia was an amazing actor, he also was incredibly handsome. There was just something about him that got her attention but she didn't know what it was.

Now Cher was in London, in her big car, on her way to the first recording for her song. She had listened to it when Judy emailed it to her. Benny and Bjorn were very sweet people. She loved ABBA's music so it was an honor to work with them. Thank God she had her best friend Paulette with her or she would've gotten crazy.

Pauly looked at her staring out the window "Cheralina I know you're nervous, you will do great, you always do" she said with a smile

Cher smiled slightly at her best friend "I know" she didn't know what made her more nervous, meeting the entire cast or meeting her co star.

Cher and Pauly got to the studio and quickly went inside. It was slightly smaller than the one she worked at in California but she didn't care about that. Despite her long career and the respect and admiration she had from everyone that surrounded her, she wasn't a bitchy diva.

Benny and Bjorn were delighted to have her "It is an honor to work with you Cher, you're a legend" Benny praised

She laughed "The honor is all mine, I mean come on, ABBA's music is iconic" they all laughed lightly

"Let's get started, shall we" Bjorn said, she agreed and they began to work. Of course, it was Cher so it only took two takes for the recording to go pefect.

About two hours later, Andy was on his way to the studio after his wardrobe fitting. He arrived two days ago but hadn't met the cast yet. He would join them the next day along with his co star. It was a surprise to him to get the call to be in a musical. Not any musical, the sequel to Mamma Mia. It was good that he was in London, Andy and his wife weren't in the best position right now on their marriage so it felt good to him to get away. Even if it was just for a month and a half. Judy and Ol told him his character would have a love interest but didn't say who it would be. Andy had this the feeling in his stomach that couldn't be explained. His chauffeur parked behind a big car that was just leaving. For a moment he was curious about who did the car belong to but he decided to ignore it.

Andy got inside the studio and was greeted by Benny and Bjorn

"Great to see you Andy" Bjorn said

"It's a privilege to work with you, I love ABBA" he praised, they laughed

"Hey, I saw a car leaving-"

Benny cut him off before he could say anything else "Oh yeah, darn you just missed her" he grunted

Andy gave him a curious look "Missed who?" He asked

"Get ready for this, your co star is none other than Cher and she just left after recording her part for your song together" Bjorn told him excitedly.

Andy's eyes widen as he went pale. The legendary Cher was going to be his long lost love interest on screen. He ran his hand over his hair, a sudden chill going through his body. Andy had never met her but for sure knew that she was an incredible singer and amazing actress. Not to mention her Goddess like beauty.

He realized he must have been quiet for a few moment so he spoke "Wow, that's incredible. Cher, I can't wait to work with her" he really couldn't

"Well the faster we start working, the faster you can meet her. Tomorrow will be the first day you will start to rehearse your choreography on set. Come on" without anything else being said, the recording started.

Later that night, neither Andy or Cher could sleep. Tomorrow they were meeting for the first time. They didn't know why but both of them were nervous. Maybe it was the first day jitters to be on set. Perhaps it was because they were the new editions to the "legacy" cast. None of them knew it but tomorrow was going to be a day where their lives would start to go crazy.
