Merlin
Arthur and I were tumbling down the hill, trying not to slip and slide all the way down.
It was a lot harder for me not to lose my balance than it was for Arthur, and I found myself tripping over my own feet quite sometimes.
Suddenly, I missed a step and fell on my back, which caused me to let out a high pitched shriek. Arthur swirled around immediately, a scared look on his face. But at the sight of me lying in the grass, arms and legs widespread, the expression on his face changed and he couldn't contain his laughter.
"You're such an idiot Merlin, can't even stand on your own to feet."
I raised a finger at him and let out a small giggle: "In my defense, I have t'say that I am a liiiiittle drunk. And y'know being drunk worsens your motor skills, that's a fact, Iiii know that!"
Arthur shook his head and smiled as he reached out his hand to help me stand up. "Y'know I've never seen someone be such a smartass while bein' drunk."
Standing up was harder that I thought and I fell back twice before, finally, with Arthur's help I managaed to pull up.
But I stood up with such force, that I stumbled onto Arthur's chest, who immediately grabbed the back of my shirt to keep us both upright.
I buried my nose in Arthur's neck. He smelled like smoke from a glistening fire, fresh cut grass and his insanely good smelling cologne. A quiet laughter escaped my throat and I smiled against his warm skin.
"'M sorry. I'm a little clumsy sometimes, as you probably noticed."
I stepped away from him, meeting his eyes. All of the stars seemed to dance in them, as he looked at me lovingly.
"'S alright. Come on, we'll get you home." He took my hand in his and interwined our fingers, to give me some support while walking.
Not even a minute later, we arrived at the bottom of the hill and I hadn't fallen again. Neither one of us seemed to want to let go of the other's hand, and so we didn't. His hands were big and strong, and my small and thin one fit perfectly in his.
"D' you even know what time it it?", I asked as we walked towards the farmhouse, hand in hand, shoulders touching from time to time.
"Late." Arthur pointed at the barn. "Look there's no lights or music anymore, that means the party's over." He chuckled. "And trust me, our parties go on for a long time. So it must be nearly morning"
I rubbed my eyes and yawned. "You're gonna kill me when I turn up to work so tired. I'll be completely useless."
Arthur stopped walking and tilted his head a little so that his lips came dangerously close to my ear.
"You always are, Merlin. Ruined all of my work today.", he whispered. My whole body was shivering, and my cheeks immediately turned bright red. Arthur stopped talking for a moment, his face resting at the exact same spot.
I felt his warm breath caress over my ear, and goosebumps started to form all over my arms and legs.
He chuckled and continued speaking.
"But somehow, I don't want to get rid of you just yet. So I expect you to show up tomorrow, or else-"
He turned around, facing me now, his eyes burning into my skin. It took me a lot not to wrap my hands around his neck and shove my lips onto his.
"Or else?" I cut his sentence, trying to sound sassy. "You're gonna beat my ass?"
I decided that it was my turn to have a little fun now, so I stepped closer and placed my lips very close to his ear this time. I also made sure to place my fingers on his arm, the other hand still in his.
