Ten was sitting at the kitchen table, home alone, and it was 8:20.He wasn't going to the fair.
He wasn't planning on going anywhere. Jimin's dad was dead, Jimin was no longer in Ten's life, and Ten was expected to go have fun with whatever Taeyong was supposed to be to him.
He couldn't get it out of his head that Jimin kept saying be careful of Taeyong.
Yeah, Ten knew what Taeyong was capable of, but he didn't think he'd hurt him anymore . . . Was he wrong?
Then there was a knock at the door. Ten didn't want to answer it, he didn't even want to stand up, he wanted to sit there all night and think about what a horrible person he was for doing something like that to his best friend.
Jimin had done absolutely nothing, and the last thing he was, was probably jealous of Taeyong.
He hated Taeyong. Why had Ten even said that?
Sighing, the Thai boy slowly dragged himself to the door, and he opened it.
Lucas was there.
"Not now." Ten started shutting the door, but Lucas's hand shot out, holding it open, "Ten? What's wrong? Can you come or not?"
Ten hesitated, he didn't know what to do.
After everything that happened, he felt bad for letting Lucas inside. But he did. He opened the door.
Lucas was clearly worried, and he stepped inside. The rain had stopped, and apparently the plans were still on, but not for Ten.
"I can't go out right now I'm sorry..." Ten's voice cracked and his eyes began to water.
He didn't mean to, but he couldn't help it, he started crying right there in front of Lucas.
He was so used to being laughed at while crying in his life that it shocked him when Lucas hugged him.
He pulled him straight into his arms and said "Shh don't cry..." In a gentle voice.
And eventually, Ten calmed down. When Lucas stepped back, Ten took off his glasses and wiped his eyes. "Sorry..." He whispered. "It's complicated...sorry I can't go."
"It's okay," Lucas said. "We can go a different time if you want to." His small smile instantly cheered Ten up a bit. "I hope you're okay." Lucas added.
It hurt him to see the one he liked in pain.
Ten gave a small nod, "I'll be fine, I'll see you at school tomorrow."
"Okay, bye." Lucas left slowly, as if unsure to leave Ten alone. But he did, eventually the door shut and Ten was left alone again.
He really didn't want to go to school tomorrow. He knew he was going to smile and pretend like he didn't hate himself.
But most af all, he hoped he didn't see Jimin at school tomorrow.

Lucas was worried, but knew Ten wanted to be alone. And so Lucas got in his car, and he drove back to Taeyong's house, where Taeyong and Mark were waiting.
When Lucas arrived, he went inside, saying, "Ten can't come anymore."
"Why not?" Taeyong asked, instantly wanting to know.
Lucas almost told them Ten was crying, but he really didn't want to.
He wasn't sure if that'd embarrass Ten, but the true reason is that Lucas wanted to be the only one for Ten. The only one worried about him, the only one comforting him.
Yeah, it sounded selfish, but he couldn't stand the thought of Taeyong and Ten.
It just bothered him.
"He said something came up," Lucas lied, "I don't know, he didn't really explain much."
"Aw okay, well, do you guys still wanna go?" Mark asked, downing a soda.
Taeyong frowned. "No." He said. "Damn he's important then." Mark wiggled his eyebrows, amused.
"Shut up." Taeyong said and got his shoes on, "I'm gonna go home. See you guys tomorrow." Then the red haired boy left.
"Well...damn. He really likes Ten," Mark laughed, "That's surprising."
Lucas shot Mark a look. "Why is that surprising? Do you hate Ten or something?"
Mark was taken aback, so much that he actually laughed. "No Lucas, what? I don't even know him." He said. "I meant Taeyong's a bitch, and Ten's not the type of person he'd hang out around. You know I'm right."
Lucas sighed. He knew Mark was right.
And that's what made him mad. Because that meant Taeyong really did like Ten.
And Lucas probably didn't even have a shot.
