I love Izzy with all of my being :)
Also I wrote this chapter when I was listening to a song. I'll tell you what it is and put a few asterisks (*****) when you should start playing the song (that's if you want to listen to it). Otherwise, enjoy the chapter 💖
-The song is called "K." by a band called Cigarettes After Sex.
SMUT WARNING.
I hissed a little as the strong vodka found it's way down my throat. I wasn't one for drinking, but the past few months had been hard on me. They always said life and love were the two most difficult things in the world, I didn't realise they were this difficult.
"You here alone?" A deep, throaty voice made me jump a little and I turned to the direction of it.
"What does it look like, jackass?" I responded, drooping my head and covering my face with my hands.
"Hey, that's no way to talk to me, now, is it?" The voice replied, and my head shot up and turned in his direction.
"Fuck me." I sighed, smiling ashamedly at the owner of the voice.
"Alrighty, sugar." My best friend and the man I'd been in love with for years sat on the barstool next to me.
"Don't be gross, Izzy." I laughed softly, meeting his gaze. "What are you having?"
"Nothing. And neither are you, you'll get intoxicated."
"I'm fine." I dragged out my speech and tapped Izzy's shoulder, earning a small laugh from him.
"Let's go somewhere. Anywhere." He said abruptly, spinning my barstool so that I faced him. "Let's go for a walk."
I nodded, confused at the sudden comment from Izzy. He grinned and took my hand, pulling me out of the bar. I shuddered slightly from the icy cold air, something Izzy clearly picked up on.
"You cold?"
"A little. It's no worries, I'll be fine."
"I don't have a jacket, or I'd give it to you. C'mere, let me warm you up." He stretched out his arms and pulled me into a bear hug, and I breathed in his scent. He smelt like a mixture of cigarettes and aftershave, and I wrapped my arms around his waist. I knew he didn't love me back, that this was just all good intentions. But I couldn't help feeling like this was something I could get used to, something I wanted in my life.
"You're a gentleman, Izzy." I said softly, pulling away from him.
"I try my best. Come on, I have somewhere I want to show you." Izzy grabbed my hand again and turned, leading me down a back alley and along a lengthy backstreet.
"Where are we going? It's kinda scary back here." I said, walking closer to Izzy. I heard him chuckle softly and he let go of my hand, instead wrapping his arm around my neck.
"Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you. Come on, we're almost there."
We reached the end of the backstreet and Izzy pulled up the wiring from a fence.
"After you." He smiled, gesturing me to climb under. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow, then decided to go with it, as I climbed under the fence. Izzy followed, grabbing my waist and seating the two of us on the grass.
"Oh my God, it's so beautiful up here." I gasped slightly, taking in all of the sights in front of me. The area we were sitting on was near to the edge of a cliff, where we could see the entire town. All of the lights and buildings contrasted the fields and hills so nicely, it was almost unrealistic. I was so taken aback that I didn't notice Izzy had shuffled closer to me, with his body facing me.
