Y/N's Perspective:
"Marc! Coke?" I shouted, rummaging through the cool bag."Please, darling'." He replied, sounding out of breath. I glanced down the hill and smiled to myself, watching Marc kick a football around with our dog, Rosie. I sat down on the grass with the two cans in hand. Glancing around the local park, I surveyed the surroundings- the lack of people made the park seem eerie, though it didn't bother me. I actually preferred it this way.
"Cheers." He thanked me, dropping down beside me breathlessly.
"This is so nice." I hummed thoughtlessly, picking at blades of grass and tossing them to the side. His hand slid onto mine, interlocking our fingers.
"Agreed. We should do this more often." Marc mused, lifting my hand to his lips and placing a kiss on the back of it. I turned to him, smiling.
"Let's."
"What time are we on, sugar?"
"4.15."
"D'you wanna make a move then?"I nodded in response, calling Rosie over and starting to pack up the stuff. The sun was starting to set, given that it was just getting to winter. It set a golden glow over the trees in the park, and shone on Marc's face, highlighting his features perfectly.
Marc's Perspective:
You could've told me that angels existed, and I wouldn't have believed you until I'd seen her. The light illuminated her at a perfect angle, highlighting the way her hair bounced as she turned, and how the skin around her eyes would scrunch just a little as she shot me a smile. God, I didn't even think I'd be able to smile back, I was that mesmerised. Those lips, so perfectly soft. And her eyes- it was like they were just these caverns of spectacular (Y/E/C) that you could get lost in forever. Everything about her captured me; as if she was some sort of ethereal being that was too perfect to be real.
"Marc!"
"Sorry babe, you okay?"
"More like are you okay? You seem super out of it." She scrunched her brows together and stared at me, forcing a small smile of amusement to appear on my lips."I'm fine, sweetheart. I'm just thinking." I replied, leaning on my elbow as I stared back. Her expression changed to become much more satisfied, and her lips curved into a grin.
"Anything you wanna talk about?"
"I was just thinking about you, actually."
"Oh, God, I don't wanna hear anything much about myself, thank you." She laughed with an undertone of relief. Her laugh was so soft, like falling snow. And I relished it.
"Now darling, you did ask. So I'll have to tell." I insisted teasingly, poking her gently on the shoulder.
"You're such a torment." She retaliated, as blissful notes of laughter escaped her lips. I couldn't help but laugh along with her, watching and admiring everything she did.I placed my hand on her cheek and indulged in the softness of her skin.
"You're my everything, do you know that?" I asked, watching as her cheeks flushed red. She nodded minimally, staring down like she always did when I'd compliment her.
"And I love you more than I need air." I finished, tilting her head to meet my gaze. She was silent for a moment, before a small smile crept on her face.
"You need air to survive."
"Exactly."ok I love Marc with my entire being and I enjoyed writing this a LOT 💓💓
