Y/N:

"Excuse me?"

I looked up from my email to see my boss, Elaine, standing at the door of my office.

"Sorry, ma'am, can I help you?" I smiled, closing the laptop lid and standing up.

"You have a visitor," She said, walking over to my desk and placing an envelope down on it, "so make sure you check the details before he comes in. He's an important one."

I nodded and opened the envelope, skimming the basic information. The man's name was Rudy Sarzo, and his profession stated 'entertainer'.

"Right you are, ma'am, it's in the bag." I winked, sealing the envelope and placing it down again. Elaine nodded, and turned on her heel to send the man into my office. I plastered a smile on my face and waited for the man to enter, and as he did I felt my body buzz with anticipation.

I know him.
I know who this man is.

"Mr. Sarzo, welcome. Please, take a seat." I smiled, pulling a chair up to my desk for him to sit opposite me.

"How can I help, sir?"

He winced, and waved his hand.

"Just call me Rudy. I can't deal with all of these formal addresses."

I nodded and laughed, holding out my hand. "Nice to meet you, Rudy, I'm Y/N."

I saw his shoulders loosen as he took my hand in his, bringing it to his lips and placing a kiss on my knuckle.

"It's a pleasure, Y/N." He purred, as I tried my best to hide the blush on my cheeks.

"Now, how can I help?" I asked, leaning forward slightly and looking into his eyes.

"I'm looking into a savings account. For when I'm older, y'know? I just don't know which one is best."

"Now, I would initially suggest a compound pension, which is where you input an amount and it increases by 4.5% every year. However, since your career says 'entertainer', I just need a little more information about that so we can see if we're really choosing the best option for you."

He nodded and scratched his head nervously, before saying: "I'm in a band. I play bass."

And then, it was my chance.

"Whitesnake, right?" I grinned, before he raised an eyebrow and nodded.

"Right. You don't look like a Whitesnake kinda gal."
"Well, what you see is never what you get." I winked, pretending I didn't see his smirk.

"Now, what's your monthly income?" I asked, grabbing my notepad and jotting down the figures. I noted his monthly costs, outgoings and incomes before asking: "and finally, do you have a partner?"

He leaned forward on his elbow, edging closer to my face by the minute.

"Is that you offering?" He divulged, sporadically glancing down at my lips.
"Just the system's regular questions." I grinned, meeting his gaze. He raised an eyebrow and chewed his lower lip.

"No, I don't have a partner. At least, not yet."
"Not yet?"
"I have to ask her on a date."

I smiled and scribbled the word 'pending' on the page, looking up hastily as I felt his foot knock mine.

"So what do you say?"
"I-- I'm sorry?"
"Would you like to go on a date?"

I grinned to myself and picked up my pen again, scribbling out the word 'pending' and instead writing 'has a partner'.

I glanced up again and met his gaze, reaching for his hand and scribbling my phone number on it.

"So, these savings accounts?"

This was a random idea I had but I'm kinda glad I wrote it since I've never done anything like this before :)

Also I'd like to say I'm sorry for not publishing recently, as I've had lots of important exams to study for but I got my results the other day and they were actually pretty good :) and I got an A* in English language which I'm totally psyched about!!

Let me know what you think 🥰
