"Just a Martini please. You can put that on my tab." I shouted over the music, sighing as I stood alone.

Not only had my friend Stevie dragged me out to a promotional party that I didn't want to be at, she had also left me alone to go and dance with some desperate reporter in the corner of the venue. The bartender handed me my drink and I took a sip, walking off aimlessly into the crowd of people.

You'd think that modelling would lead you to having a large friend group, or at least being fond of a few co-workers.

Not the case.

As I leaned against a wall beam away from the crowd, a hand tapped me on the shoulder.

"Hey there."

A man holding a glass in his hand stood facing me, a genuine smile on his face.

"Oh, hey."
"You here on your own?"
"I'm not supposed to be. But my friend left me for the guy over there."
"Harsh." He cringed, scratching the back of his head and letting out a nervous chuckle. I nodded in agreement and shrugged.
"It's nothing, I guess."
"Hey, I recognise you, y'know." He hummed, taking a sip of his drink.
"I do modelling for magazines and stuff." I shrugged, taking in more of the man's features. He was cute- but had an aura of something more to him.

"I can see why," He winked, "you're gorgeous. The name's Nicholas, but I prefer Razzle."
"I'm y/n. And thank you." I smiled, feeling my cheeks heat up. He took my left hand in his and placed a kiss on my knuckles, only causing me to blush even more.

"I never asked, what is it that you do for a living, Razzle?"
"Oh, I'm a drummer. In a band called Hanoi Rocks."
"Oh right, I've heard of you guys. A friend of mine showed me a couple of your songs. You're pretty good."
"Is that all?" He laughed, and I couldn't help but laugh with him.
"Alright, in all fairness, you guys rock," I admitted.
"You know, the stuff they say about drummers is true." He said, stepping closer to me and pushing my hair behind my ear.

"Drummers hit it harder."

My mouth fell open in shock, and his face was within inches of mine.

"O-oh." I uttered, now nervous, yet intrigued. "Is that a fact?"
"What is there to stop me from proving it to you?" He winked, stepping back a little and taking a drink.

"Well, I wouldn't say no if you offered." I hinted, not breaking eye contact as I sipped my Martini.

He smirked at me and raised an eyebrow, replying with nothing but: "I see."

The two of us spent the rest of the evening together- him making overly provocative comments towards me, and I'd reply with an equally suggestive tone. As far as the crowd went, we chose to stay away, in a dark corner at the back of the venue. He made it to his third drink of whatever, and I'd reached a fifth Martini by 11:30pm.

"You'd really better stop with the drinks, sugar," he warned jokingly, "you might get intoxicated."
"Well I can trust you, can't I?" I retorted, trailing a finger down his chest.
"That you can," he purred, "but I'm more concerned about you driving home." He frowned slightly and I shrugged, leaning against the gravelly wall.
"I'll find my way. It's not like I can count on Stevie." I laughed mindlessly, almost losing my balance as the room began to spin slightly.

"Alright, enough of that," Razzle took the last of the Martini from my hand and picked me up as if I was as light as a feather, taking me outside, "you need some fresh air."

"Really, I'm fine." I droned, leaning against him for support. The heels I was wearing definitely didn't help my case, and I stumbled as I tried to stand up straight.

"No, you're not. Let me give you a ride."
"It's sweet of you, but really. I can find my way."
"Please. I'd like to know that you got home safe. Even if we never see each other again, I'd rather take you back myself."

I looked up at him, and despite my slightly blurred vision, I could see that his brows were knitted and there was a small frown on his face.

"Alright."
"Okay, the car's this way." He gestured for me to follow him to a black car, before I paused.
"But I thought you had a drink earlier?"
"Non-alcoholic. I don't like to drink if I have to drive too."
I gave him a small smile and climbed into the passenger seat.

"You alright?"
I nodded in response and laid my head back onto the headrest. Razzle started up the car, and I felt my eyes drifting shut.
"Hey, y/n!"
"Mm?"
"You gotta tell me where you're staying, sweets."
"Just a motel or something."
"But where are you staying, like, permanently?"
"With Stevie."
"And where does Stevie live?"
"I...don't remember."

I giggled shamefully and apologised, turning my head to face him.
"That's alright. Look, how about you come back with me tonight? I'll sleep on the sofa and you can take the bed."
"Hmm...How do I know that I can trust you?" I squinted my eyes and got closer to his face, before bursting into laughter. The alcohol had clearly taken more of a toll than I realised, and I watched his eyes scrunch up as he laughed with me.

"I'd like to stay with you, Razzle." I confessed quietly, and he nodded.
"Fine by me, sweets."

I hope you enjoyed this!! I'm sorry it took so long but I wanted to rework it so that it was as good as it could be ❤️
