-NATE-

"Oh my...wow," Michelle breathed heavily as she gazed up at me in a hazy daze. Her cheeks were flushed bright red and her strawberry blonde hair was sprawled wildly around her with little tangles from my fingers and splatters of white paint throughout.

"Yeah, wow," I smiled and kissed her deeply as I lay down next to her and pulled her into me to feel her heart flying in perfect sync with mine. My hands ran up and down her back, unable to let go for even a second. She was a beautiful picture of ecstasy and I was more than addicted. "I think we get better every time, Mrs."

"I think we do, Mr.," she agreed and hooked her arm around my neck while her fingers nudged the ends of my hair. "We're magic."

"We are," I whispered softly and gazed down into her dancing eyes. "I love you. So, so much."

She ran her hands over my chest and hummed quietly, "I love you too, Nathan. So, so much," a grin spread across her face and I chuckled as I dipped my head to kiss her a little deeper while my hands wandered from her back to trail the rest of her. "But—"

"But?" I repeated and leaned back curiously.

A playful glint filled Michelle's face as she moved her hand up to my forehead and scratched her nail over a patch of paint, "But you're a horrible distraction."

"What do you mean?" I half-grinned.

"I mean I get absolutely nothing done when you're around," she smiled. "I should've had this whole room painted by now."

I let my eyes wander around us from the old comforter where we currently lay that was supposed to serve as a drop cloth over the carpet to the paint buckets, brushes, tape, and rollers over by the window and finally to the single wall that had been properly painted before I'd interrupted her.

Michelle had been dutifully setting to work on little projects around the farmhouse to make the place "ours", but I had a hard time keeping my hands off of her. Thus, one glimpse at her bending over a paint bucket had resulted in me sneaking up on her and grabbing her from behind. She'd squealed and splattered us both with paint from her roller and one thing had led to another until we were the ones rolling around.

"Sorry."

"Nathan Knight, you are not the least bit sorry," she trailed her hand up to my jawline and giggled before kissing me.

"You're right," I gave a cheeky grin against her lips. "I'm not, but on the bright side, I probably saved us some work anyway, unless you want a white nursery?"

"You're still a hundred percent on that? I was thinking maybe this could be the guest room for now," Michelle said.

"Well, I mean, at first I was just thinking the other room was a little bigger to fit in baby stuff because apparently babies need a million things that I never even knew existed until I read some of my mom's books, but ultimately I think you were right, this one is closer to our room and it'd be better for the nursery. We can have Nicky on one side of us and the baby on the other for the first few years," I nodded. "So yeah, I'm a hundred percent."

"Not that," She brought her hand down to rest on my chest. "I mean with having a baby right away in general. We can just make two guest rooms and hold off if you want to take some time to be sure you're ready to add another baby with everything else?"

"I'm already sure, babe, but even if I wasn't, we'd be a few minutes too late for that, wouldn't we?" I asked. "Not to mention last night...or this morning, twice, or any of the other times over the past few days. We haven't done anything to hold off. Or at least I haven't. Have you?"
