The weekend and monday flew by quickly, sadly I didn’t make any new friends or meet anyone new. Everyone thought I was going to turn into a new Brittany. I only hung out with Artemis who kept thinking any day I would leave and get chopped to bits. I couldn’t even walk to the restrooms (which were the cleanest public restrooms I had ever seen) without having her worry.  Everywhere we went she was paranoid, scouting ahead, drawing her bow to birds that rustle in the trees. If there is one way to describe Artemis its paranoid.

Today is now tuesday which means we are preparing for the games yet again. This time I made a plan so we all don’t just rush forward without a plan. (Apparently this is the first time anyone has done this at camp) Our plan was to train one quarter of our troops to learn archery. With Artemis’s help we were able to get ¼ of our troops to a skill level where you could call them good. We also taught them to fire on command, to work as one unit, not as the individual, like before. The arrow heads are like Artemis’s taser arrows except now there are hundreds of them.

Then we taught ¼ of the other troops to use a shield correctly and use spears. These men will be our front lines. With their shields they will be able to deflect any hit. The spear is then used to hit the enemy from a distance. The spear heads are electric too. It took forever to teach George this. He wanted to charge into battle as fast as he could with  his swords swinging. Eventually I taught him though.

The next ¼ didn’t need that much training all they would do is fight if the front lines lost. I taught them that they shouldn’t just swing the sword at any enemy by themselves. They should fight in pairs, two people fighting together against one person. This way they have better odds. The last thing of thing was that they needed to learn to knock people out. I showed them how to hit them in the face with the pommel of their sword. The other way was for one person trips the enemy (I got the idea from Brittany)then the other person kicks the enemy in the face as hard as they can. I know it sounds barbaric but it works.

The last part I taught to do everything that the other parts can do. I call them the elites. Each of them is equipped with a shield, spear, sword, seven taser arrows, a sword, a small crossbow, and a bag of smelling salts to wake up our own. It took awhile for them to get use to the weight but they ended up being lightning fast still. I put them in the back with the archers so they could protect them. But close enough to the front lines that they can still fight. I had come with an amazing plan. I am a military genius.

As my troops walk to the battlefield, we are all trying to get ready mentally. When I get there, I get them all set up. We get set up in rows, the frontlines in the front of course (George was in control of them), 2nd row is the barbarians (that is my name for the guys who keep men from getting to the elites,Nate and Sabin were in lead of them). The elites are next(I am in charge of), then the archers(Artemis’s team). The archers and the front lines were the major part of my plan. The archers would all shoot their arrows on command at once which will weaken our enemies, then we will continue to do that. Then if the enemy would get to us and our front lines would be like spartans never letting anyone through, if they do though we would be ready. I wanted to have my men wear armour but Rick said it would take a week for it all to be made, so I ordered it. Even without armour I think we would be okay.

After we got prepared for battle the horn blew, Artemis gave the order for the troops to draw an arrow and aim. When Brittany and her troops were in range, she yelled “Fire” and a volley of arrows flew, there were so many arrows that it made the sky look black. When the arrows came down it took a huge chunk of their soldiers down. I could see them getting hit and then spazzing out, because of the electricity in the arrows. About twenty of the one hundred troops were taken out. (If i haven’t mentioned this there are one hundred on their side and 101 on our side, so there are 201 all together at the camp.) Then Artemis made the same command and they fired. Again they struck home, about 30 this time got hit. I could see the other side freaking out. They weren’t used to this type of army, one so organized, so o strong. Arteis ordered one last attack, the arrows only hit 20 this time, but to my happiness Jacob and Brian got hit. The enemy finally got close and I could hear George yell “shields up, Spears out.” They did as they were told. With only 30 left this would be easy. The spears hit every one who got close, only one or two got through but were met with a shield to the face.
