Brinley's P.O.V.

I slowly walked to my house after leaving Deanna's house, ever since I told her about the whole Garrett and George thing we've become closer, I kind of regret not getting closer to her before, she is a great listener and always has the craziest ideas and the best advice, sometimes she can be a little superficial, but she's actually nicer than I thought.

It's been almost two weeks since what happened at Rusty's, it's weird how in such little time things could change so much. Garrett and I haven't talked ever since, it hurt me the first days, but then George and I started hanging out together more, and of course, Deanna was loving dressing me up there were sometimes I actually liked what I was wearing, other times it was just too much.

I can't say that I like George as much as I used to months ago, but I can't help feeling something in me every time he smiles, but even so, Garrett image is still present. Deanna kept telling me to forget about Garrett, it's obvious that George likes me but I just can't let it go for some reason.

I got home finally after a long walk, I walked to the kitchen to get something for dinner, but apparently there's nothing in here. Great.

"Hey Brin, I'm getting some dinner, wanna come?" Ally appeared out of nowhere, making me slightly jump. Which made her laugh.

"Funny Ally, sure. But not Rusty's, I'm kinda over it." I chuckled. She might've scared me, but I'm sure she was an angel sent from heaven to save me from starvation.

We got in the car and Ally drove to a small cafeteria around the town, she knows me too well. I loved coming here with her and mom when we were little. It's been a while since the last time I was here. We went in, saying hi to the people we knew from there.

We sat down, across from each other as we discussed what to eat.

"Well, how have you been? It feels like forever since the last time we went out together." Ally laughed as she spoke, she's actually right, I feel bad for not paying her enough attention this entire time.

"I'm sorry Ally, you're right. There just has been so much going on lately, my mind has kind of been a mess." I sighed as I told Ally what had happened lately, about Garrett and George.

"I actually knew already, dad told me everything but I wanted to hear it from you." Ally laughed and I couldn't help but hit her arm. Although it is kinda funny I guess.

"Rude!" Both of our laughs ended after a bit, leaving us in a pretty comfortable silence. Just enjoying each other as our dinner finally arrived. Waffles, my absolute favorite.

We both ate our dinner silently, both of us enjoy eating quite a lot, so we were too caught up in the food to notice any silence at all.

"May I give my opinion on the situation ?"  Ally asked a bit hesitant. I nodded quickly turning back to my food.

"Well, you had already talked to me about this guy George and even showed me his pictures, he looks really nice. While his brother, the way you describe him, not so much... Brin, if you can't decide which one you like you will only hurt yourself, and might even hurt them so you should decide. In my opinion, it's clear that George is interested in you while Garrett keeps pushing you away, even though I'm also sure he is interested, but he is confused." She stopped for a moment, as if she was analyzing carefully her words, everything she had said left me thinking.

"How am I supposed to know who is the right one?" I groaned, making a pouty face. I wish there was just someone who would decide for me, but no. I have to make the choices for myself.

We stayed a couple of minutes in silence as we finished our food, when suddenly my phone started ringing. I quickly wiped my hands and grabbed the phone to see who was calling.

My heart started beating faster at the name on the screen. I mouthed 'George' to Ally which she replied with an overly excited "Answer him!"

I took a deep breath and answered the phone. "Hi George!" I cringed at my way too high pitched voice.

"Wow that was a perfect C." George laughed, making me giggle at the stupid joke he had made at my cringy voice. "Sorry, sorry, what have you been up to?"

My heart beated faster, making me even more nervous since all Ally did was stare at me speaking through the phone.

"Oh you know, nothing interesting. I was just at Deanna's now I'm having dinner with Ally, what about you?" I looked towards Ally to see her making weird faces but I only rolled my eyes at her.

"Just been at home, writing some new music and stuff." I smiled. The thought of him playing his guitar and singing with his manly voice made my stomach go crazy, while Ally was still making all those weird faces. "Look, I called because, mom is making a special dinner and the last time you came was a bit awkward so... do you wanna come over?"

Then my heart stopped, my face went pale. "U-uh, Yeah sure. Sounds great.... okay bye!"

"What did he say?" Ally gave me an over excitedly wide smile, while my mind was still trying to process what had just happened.

"He- invited me to his house tomorrow night..." I managed to speak fluent words. Barely.

"Well, I think that's your sign Brin..." Ally smirked at me. Is this really it? Are George and I gonna be a thing?

Wait. Garrett will be there tomorrow.

Shit.
