Chapter 9

"Zoe are you ready ?"

"Yeah, I just have to wake up Alfie so he leaves in time for London ."

"Ok I'll be out in the car ."

"Sorry it toke forever to wake him up ."

"I knew it would ."

"Where are we going first ?"

"Train station then the real estate office ."

"Did you take your pills today ?"

"Yes ."

"Well Luke just texted me to ask so I just wanted to make sure ."

"Tell him I said to stop asking ." She pulled into the train station parking lot and waited for Regan .

"What are you looking for in a house ?" I looked over at Regan and she told me to go first .

"At least 3 bedrooms, a big kitchen and a walk in closet in the second biggest bedroom ."

"Do you want stairs ?"

"Luke told me I wasn't allowed to have stairs so no ."

"Okay I have a couple of house that I can show you so just follow my car ."

"Okay ."

"This house is a modern style house with 4 bedrooms . I'll let you guys look around ."

"Thank you ." She left us to look at the house and the first thing I went to was the the kitchen . It was a medium sized kitchen but I don't know if I really liked how it looked .

The first bedroom was so big, to big for either of us to use all the space . The second room, which would be the baby room, was way to small to be anybody's room .

"I think the rooms are too big or too small and I'm not sure about the kitchen ."

"Ok so it's not the house for you guys ."

"Sorry but no ."

"Ok we have two more houses show you and I think you'll like the next one ."

"Ok good ."

When we first walked into the house I fell in love with it . The kitchen was just the right size and so beautiful . The master bedroom was absolutely lovely . The babies room was big enough and the third bedroom was good enough for Regan so it was good enough for me . The living room had a fire place and that topped off the whole house .

"I'm really in love with this house ."

"It's really nice ." The real estate lady smiled at us like she knew what we were thinking .

"Do you want it regan ?"

"Yes I do ."

"Ok we'll take it ."

It took us about a week to move into the house and paint some of the rooms . We painted to babies room a really light blue with some white snow falling on a tree since they'll be born during the winter .

We painted my room a maroon color and regan just kept her room the nice orange color it was .

"Regan, are you going with me to the baby store ?"

"Yep . Are we getting anything big?"

"I don't know . Maybe we should order it online or I'll just wait till Luke gets here ."

"We'll see when we get there ."

"This little dress is so cute !" Regan held up a cute little floral dress .

"Get that in 6 months . Look for some winter newborn clothes ."

"Ok ." We got a ton of little baby sweaters for both boys and girls, warm booties and tons of little warm clothes with cute animals on them .

We looked at some cribs and dresser but we decided just to wait for Luke to get here next week . So we got a portable crib to keep in my room . It was a green crib with little owls on it .

That night I skyped with Luke to talk about the crib situation and I gave him a tour of the house . After I toured the house I sat on the floor of the babies room .

"You did an amazing job painting the tree and the snow ."

"Thanks babe . I need help with picking out cribs and putting them putting them together ."

"I don't really know how I can help with the building part but the picking out part I can help with ."

"It will be so funny watching you trying to build a crib ." I started laughing while imagining him trying to build it .

"It's not gonna be funny !"

"Luke just admit it . I'll still love you if you can't do it ."

"I know you will . Let me see the belly ." I lifted up the sweatshirt that I had on to show him my belly.

"Are they kicking ?"

"No they're sleeping right now ."

"That's why you don't ever sleep at night cause they sleep all day and wake up at night ."

"Yes I know . Bring home some snacks for me ."

"Ok I'll go to the store later . I have to go to rehearsals . I love you and I'll talk to you tomorrow ."

"I love you too ." I blew him a kiss before I hung up .

"Regan !"

"Yes ?"

"Can you make some hot chocolate and light the fire place ."

"Sure ." I went and put my computer back into my room and then went into the living room . Regan was still in the kitchen making hot chocolate so I just sat down in front of the fire place with my blanket .

"Where are the marshmallows ?"

"The cabinet above the toaster ." After a couple of minutes she came into the living room with two mugs of hot chocolate .

"Don't burn yourself ."

"I'll try not to . So how's Calum ?"

"What ?"

"Oh you know what I'm talking about . Calum tells Luke everything ."

"Oh well I was gonna tell you when I figured out what it was exactly ."

"I know he likes you but Calum is not going to tell you that but if you tell him first then he'll admit it ."

"I don't want to have to admit it first, he's supposed to be the man."

"That's just Calum for you . You're the one that likes him ."

"You're right . Have you talked to Ashton lately ?"

"No but I'll talk to him when they get here ."
